[COMPLETE] - OCE - Clash tournaments cancelled for the rest of this weekend

**Clash is officially off in OCE for the rest of this weekend** ----- **UPDATE** 10:15am (26th May) > By now you may have seen that we've decided to cancel the launch of Clash in many regions around the world while we look to understand what went wrong yesterday. For Oceania, we're going to do the same and cancel all further Clash tournaments this weekend. > > You may see notices of a few other regions still running Clash this weekend, and this is either because a) it worked there on launch, or b) we're exploring potential fixes. > > At this time we're still focused on the primary goal of understanding what went wrong and getting Clash back on track. We're also still extremely conscious that many of you have had your plans for the weekend blown up by this. We're deeply sorry it played out this way, and we're hopeful that we can regain your confidence by delivering a Clash that works in the near future. > > Mindstar ----- **UPDATE 3 @ 02:30am (26th May)** > Hi folks > > Another update before the team here in OCE tap out for the evening. The clash feature has experienced similar issues in other regions as well, and we have Riot engineers working around the clock to understand the cause. > > At this stage, we're not sure whether or not we'll be in a postition to run Clash in OCE on Saturday. If you are planning to play, please keep an eye on this thread and we'll update it with further information when it is available. > > For those that missed out on Friday, we're really sorry that it didn't go as planned, and still considering what can be done to make up for these issues, but for now the efforts are focused on getting things working. > > Mindstar ----- **UPDATE 2 @ 11:15 PM (25th May)** > Hi folks > > I just wanted to add another update here, as the first couple of posts in this thread were fairly rushed while we were in the process of figuring out what was happening. > > Here's what we know now: > - When the first round of clash games were meant to start, they uhhh... didn't. > - A large number of teams were awarded losses as a result. > - The ticket auto-refund system has kicked in > - We won't be starting any more clash tournaments tonight, as we don't yet know what caused it to fail and can't guarantee it wouldn't crash again. > > We know many of you were excited to play clash tonight - many of us at Riot were too! It isn't acceptable to us that the experience tonight played out this way, and while right now we've got all hands on deck focused on solving the immediate problems with the clash system, we're also very conscious that you have taken time out of your lives tonight, and we weren't able to meet your expectations. > > We're still working on it, and there will be more info to come about what happens next when we know more. > > Mindstar ----- **UPDATE** > When the scouting period ended and clash games were meant to start, there was a server issue which caused some games to fail as a result. ~~The clash system has resolved those games randomly and assigned a winner/loser. Teams that "won" will be able to proceed on, while teams that "lost" will be out of this round.~~ _EDIT: It appears that wins/losses were totally random, with some brackets seeing all teams "lose"_ > > If you were in a game that was affected, and your team was the loser, your tickets should be refunded automatically. > > We're really sorry that the systems haven't held up as they should, and our dev team is working on improving things for the next round. > > -Mindstar ------ Hi folks We're aware of some players having trouble with the games not starting for clash, and our engineers are looking into it. We'll update as we know more. Cheers Mindstar
