: Can't find the article ill keep looking, but the gist was Open Nvidia Control Panel>manage 3D settings> make sure LoL is on the program list to use the Nvidia card if not add. Also limit your FPS to cap at 60 FPS, Trust me unless your on a 4k monitor your not "seeing" 200 FPS your screen cant display that even if its a 120hz monitor it doesn't technically display at 120 Hz its still only 60 but Predicts the image to appear to be 120hz Also Play in Boarderless Window Mode this will make sure the nVidia card is being used i had to do this on my Beastly SLI'd desktop. And ensure you are using the most up to date Drivers, if your using Beta Drivers revert to most current non Beta Drivers You can Also access most of the options in the Nvidia GeForce Expireince Tab ensuring that League is on the list and let the program decide what the best setting for the game are based on your setup Hope one of these helps I'm getting no where really just a lot of people Speculating it "should be" ok to run with these cards, wouldnt have thought it was that uncommon being this years model of GPU in laptops
I have tried most of those things but il give some of rhe others a crack when i get home. I only say "should" work beecause if the issues I'm having with mine but I'm about 99.9% confident yours will be easily good enough unless you get a lemon or a have a similar issue to me.

Also i only stated 60 FPS as this is at most what current screens can refresh at anyway as long as i can get it to sit and stay and play nice at 60 with minimal to 0 FPS drop id be happy... problem is being new this year to laptops there is rather little info on the cards and it all seems to be "Should be". Also in your case, is it possible the game isnt running on the Nvidia card, i read somewhere that you have to access the setting in the Nvidia settings and allow the program to access the 860m and not the on board, if your unsure i can link you the article.
I'm pretty confident that you should have no problem at all with running LoL on high and for that price i imagine the screen will be able to refresh at a rate much higher the 60 fps. For comparison my brother has a laptop a model below mine but still fairly good and it runs Lol on highest with no problems at all. In fact i would add that the specs you suggested would be a bit of an overkill for just LoL even on high i think you could get a laptop able to run LoL on high these days for perhaps a minimum of $1.5k. Mine was bit under $2k for reference. If you could link that article that would be great. I'm pretty sure it's not the issue given it runs at 200+fps when it's not spiking but at this stage I'm willing to try anything. Hey dude, I currently just purchased an Asus rog g751 with 860 nvidea graphics and for some reason i am getting weird FPS spikes in game which i cant seem to pinpoint the reason why. Here is my support ticket with info that may be relevant to yoursefl should you get a similar laptop https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/17937760 . I think my issue is with some setting but i would like to say the specs you mentioned should easily handle LoL at highest setting with around 300 FPS with vsync off. With vsync on it may go down to 60FPS. But vsync is useless and actully impacts gameplay negatively so you would want it off anyway. Hopefully i can get my FPS issue fixed so i can confidentaly say your PC will be fine.

Perhaps also try reinstalling your display drivers and directx as well. I recommenced this program to remove them http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html It's relatively simple to do, follow the instructions from that website. Note which graphics card you have (if you have one) for example nvidea, and get Nvidea Geforce experience to re-install the driver you need. If your not sure which driver you may need you can get driver searches to see such as driver navigator. Good luck! -Conrad.

Sounds to me like you may just have a problem with poor internet. I say this because it should not take 5mins to connect otherwise and perhaps the difference between it working before and not working now . May be to the fact that using your internet to download LoL may have used a lot of your net allocation up and perhaps your internet has been reduced to speeds to slow to even open LoL. If you eventually get an error along the lines of "Error could not connect" or something like that, this is probably the case. You may want to investigate into getting faster internet. GL! -Conrad.

Hey Colaja That's reassuring to know however I suspect my problem may be to do with my PC in general and not necessarily because of the LoL client however if I get this issue fixed and it turns out to be LoL related I will let you know to see if it may help with the issue you are having :)

Definitely Lag, When the connection drops out one way to describe it is your PC acts out a sort of rendition of what was happening pre disconnect and when trying to play it out without a connection to the riot servers you get weird displays of sliding or looping motion. Needless to say none of this is occurring for anyone else however your walking/attacking commands pre disconnection may still be being executed on all the other play's PCs. When your PC reconnects it suddenly bring back the current state of the game and that's why you seem like you randomly disappear and re-appear somewhere else as the loss in communication because of the connection drop leads to unknown information which becomes suddenly realized when your PC reconnects. FPS issues are characterized by jagged motion not to be mistaken for disappearing and re appearing as you will notice when you get a lag spike the motion is still smooth even though you reappear somewhere else (unless you have both problems). Hope this explanation helps, -Conrad. P.S in terms of the patch it would have little effect on your connection and your issue is with connection which may be resulted by changes to your network in which case you may have to contact internet providers. It also may be simply an increase in strain on the network such as a sibling watching you-tube and such. In which case you can take measures to lower this impact by increasing the priority of your PC in the router settings.

That's what I thought. I find it very odd because most of those fixes are directed towards PCs with poor performance already. My performance is great except for these occasional FPS drops which can impact games quite a bit. I have a feeling it may be some sort of setting messing with the performance of my PC but I can't seem to pin point it. It is also unlikely that it is a process/program running in the background because I checked to see what was running during these spikes and the CPU actually drops off not spikes.. Very weird it's like something is telling my PC to slow down for a second. First thing that would come to mind would be perhaps overheating but the PC is brand new and it feels really cool. However I guess I should actually measure the temp and see if this may be the issue but I doubt it.

: Are you sure it's fps drop? It may be issues on the network side (ie packet drops) Both will have similar symptoms If you've done all the instructions from provided, you should tell player support. So they can move on to the next steps. The standard template answer solves 80%-90% of the issues, that why we send them.
