: I cant stop feeding/inting.
There's a lot fo ways to prevent feeding. * Firstly when you get into the game loading screen, consider what champion you are up against and what they do in lane as well as for their team. Also consider their jungler. * Try to improve your map awareness. CS-Lookatmap-CS-lookatmap, etc. Guess where their jungler is. * Don't fight a fed opponent (Sun Tzu: "Don't fight a stronger enemy"), unless you are sure their spells are on cooldown and none of their teammates are nearby. This comes with experience. And fed = their level+their items they have in inventory. Check this with TAB. * Also use TAB in-game to see what they are building. Try to itemise correctly against them and their team. For example if you are a top lane tank and they have a Garen + Jarvan jungler, you'll be buying armour items. * If behind, focus on farming only. Remember that farm gives you experience and therefore levels, and the higher your level in game, the more damage you do. * Don't forget to buy a control ward, very useful to see if someone is coming or not. Find a good moment to place it. Just a few basic tips. Good luck!

Yes. People have no balls to learn the game, they just wanna rush in and look cool. Plus accounts are so cheap to buy. Even NEACE recommends skipping level 30, so why wouldn't we? [Here is a game where Chuz tried to 1v5.](https://imgur.com/a/x70cU) It just wasn't possible. I mean this was OCE challenger and the whole of the blue team were scrubs and had no macro sense, but still wasn't possible to for Ekko to carry it. The blue team just grouped like a herd of baboons and still won (one guy got caught in the lategame). Would be nice to see more carry potential in the game, like Scarra says.

But also be humble and listen to constructive criticism or suggestions in game. Question them and review your games to see what that player meant, and if it was the right call. Also when you rewatch your games, you might see things that you can improve on in your gameplay that you didn't spot before. Constructive critism is good, but mute other stupid criticism. : it's less that these items are op (you don't see orianna with ardent censer anywhere outside of LCS as a cheese strat, as much as she gets alot of benefit out of it, nor any other roles aside from ivern building redemption), but more that they're being used to abuse a certain way of playing defensively earlygame, inspired by klepto and the 'gold rush' playstyle. Support items aren't really overtuned... just too accessible. The worst abusers of ancient coin and spellthiefs aren't mage supports like karma, morgana or brand, no, that would be gangplank. That isn't supports being op, that's riot screwing up. Imo a good mark of the state of support items is whether traditionally midlane mages are migrating botlane. When spellthiefs was op, we saw velkox, xerath and veigar. Also support is just about as balanced as any other role. Jungle holds the most pressure, midlane shortly after, botlane holds dragon control and determines which team opens up the map first with first blood tower. Toplane is an island where nothing happens provided nobody fucks up. Toplane has a tank/gangplank problem, but that's more that riot has been beating down on traditional early/midgame bruisers like renekton, darius, irelia, kled, olaf and poppy (more damage oriented builds).
Support items were overtuned (when you see Vlad buying FQC, for example), so I'm glad that its been removed. Still, it would be better if their gold generation was tuned down to stop other laners using them. 8.4 pro play is gonna be the real test. I still expect Nidalee to get frostfang. Just another example of them being overtuned - DaSticks builds the Eye of the watchers on Teemo as his first item in the current patch, and he's a challenger player and streamer.

[Here is an example of "carrying trash"](https://imgur.com/a/7LCmx). In this game it was a Co-op vs AI (Intermediate bots) game. However, all 4 of my teammates were cheating by using robots to level their accounts in this. I.E. they don't care if they win or lose, they just farm XP, so that the owner of the account can then sell it. So they are feeding like crazy. But still got carried. If you can go into a custom game and put yourself on a team of 4 bots (beginner) + yourself v 5 bots (intermediate) and win, then you are closer to learning how to carry. After that reduce the number of bots on your team until there is only yourself left. It's good training.

: You're obvs baiting, but in case you are legitimately not that.........well smart. Only if you were stupid and didn't know what to do in them seasons. Been supporting since then, and I usually (among others that knew how to play) ended with most gold. Instead of taking a shot of us players, actually play the game solo Q and you'll see i'm right.
: The state of certain items.
Thornmail is good for some top laners though, and an early bramble vest is essential vs some champions (e.g. Fiora). Items that really should be fixed or changed are the gold items on supports (every man and his dog are taking these), and damage that enables waveclear could be tuned down. However in patch 8.4 Riot are going with the approach that they will tune up the **wave damage** with the new barons. I guess Riot just want quick games.

: Current State of League of Legends for Support Mains
You know what supports should do? Less complaining. All of that complaining at the end of season 6 has contributed to the current state of the meta. Support items are overtuned and supports run the game at the moment. Back in the golden age of league (seasons 3&4), supports understood that they would have less gold, because gold is not essential to their role. They would actually support. Then when champion select included hard fixed roles and autofill, people started crying, instead of actually learning the role and understanding it. Support is only a role because thats the way the meta is, you have an extra damage carry (marksman) in your team. This season its truly too easy for supports to climb, and they should be whinging less, or changing their role to top if they really what to whinge.

: Thanks for the reply! Really informative! I do understand that I need to grind out a lot of games to achieve desired rank but I'm just curious to how this placement system works. Say I played with someone for the 10 placement games and got the same amount of wins, yet get placed in completely different divisions. How does that work?
It depends on what their mmr is, what the average opposition of the enemy's mmr is, and the score you got. Also, its better to not duo when you are looking to improve and gain rank. Duo-ing puts you at a deficit (your three teammates will be weaker than the corresponding enemies), unless you both are way better than the division you are playing in.

: Quickfire tips on getting better at league. Note I said getting better, not CLIMBING. 1. Know what champions do and their cooldowns. 2. CS better so that you at the very least have 120 at 20 minutes 3. Do not die, at all, while maintaing your cs. 4. After every cs, check the mini map for ganks. 5. Ward regularly and when you're pushed. 6. Don't overextend or overstay. 7. Don't solo dive, you will most likely get outplayed or trade a kill making it not worth. 8. Learn how to itemize, building against their TEAM, not just your lane. A good example Is a game I played on my main account where we had a crit yi, crit cait, and crit gp, the enemy vayne bought a randuins as her last item and with nami's help was actually very hard to kill and carried many fights. 9. Learn how to macro, this means when to drag, when to baron, when to push, how to push properly, minion wave management, etc. 10. Learn jungle routes and times, even if you don't play jungle, knowing how junlgers play will allow you to avoid ganks. 11. Your main goal should always be objectives, if you are going for a kill, think about why you're going for the kill, what objective it will help you get, etc. For example, if you are ahead of your enemy, would it not be smarter to kill them when you know you can push the turret, or kill them and have the jungler defend it? Or, if you're bot lane, think about getting drag, if we fight will our jungler be around to take dragon with us? If we win a team fight here, can we do baron or end the game. or get an inhib?etc. That's all off the top of my head.
Good tips. Master just a few of these and Bronze is gone. Master all of them, and you will reach Diamond 5 without any skill at all.
WilliK (OCE)
: well, im not too confident in my answer but ill give it a try and if you could tell me the answers after then that would be good. AD and support start off weak early and slowly become stronger as the game comes on. Their job is to control their lane and also the ad and support are bot lane not top as dragon is closest meaning a faster kill on dragon if the jungler, ad and support are their. Top laner is generally a tank or bruiser and same kinda of concept to snowball or build up and get objectives and help the team. mid laners are AP Casters, Mages, or Assassins for the most part and have great roaming potential considering the are the centre of the map, hence why you dont take tp on mid laners usually cause then can roam fairly quickly. Lastly junglers are are in the jungle as they have no "lane" therefore utilise jungle camps to gain xp, gold and levels. Since they are theoretically "always roaming" their purpose is to gank and put the opponents behind in their lane. All 5 roles play there specific part in the team usually being ad, mid, jg as the main damage while support and top lane are more for positioning and team fights considering their utility "support" and damage and tankiness (top). Hopefully you understood all this and can tell me if im right :)
That's a really good answer. Basically its the most optimal way to gain **experience** while still controlling the major objectives on the map at the time, and having the weak carry marksman scale up. League is basically a 5 v 5 game, and the current system of roles is merely what is the most common thought process on how to do that. For example if they changed that dragon did not spawn on the bottom side until 20 minutes then you might see 'Australia lanes' where the ad and support would start top, because that's where the Rift Herald spawns beforehand. _Maybe_. Remember the bot lane towers are still the squishiest tower at the moment. It would need to be tested by pro teams if that happened. The trouble with bronze is that you see many bronze players roaming for kills, chasing, not farming and simply losing **experience**. And say they are a "fed" Pantheon with a 6-2-5 score, they wonder why suddenly the 1-0-2 enemy Ezreal just outplays and outdamages them. It's because they messed around outside of lane doing these silly things and missing out on experience. Very often (if you go back and check some of your match histories), you will see players on your team and the enemy team that have lowest levels achieved in the game, maybe even equivalent to the enchanter support, or tank support. Those players lost the game for their team. They messed around doing stupid bronze things, and did not level enough, and became weak. They died too much, so that they weren't on the map gaining levels, farm and experience. They tried to make hero plays when hero plays weren't called for. They suicided for the Ocean drake. These sorts of mistakes happen all of the time in bronze. So that my friend is how you escape Bronze, in a nutshell. Play top, mid or jungle, gain experience and carry the game. Don't rely on your team, they are monkeys. Make every play with experience in mind. Pick a champion that can push. Twisted fate, Kassadin, Ekko, from your favourite champions can do this. Say you are currently top lane as Kassadin with a Lich Bane built already. You have the option to match the enemy top laner's tp to the bot lane gank. If your bot lane are monkeys, don't bother, just hammer that tower in the top lane and push and gain xp, gold, etc. Very soon your pressure will be insurmountable, and you will create too many problems for Bronze to handle. Your team might rage at you, just mute them, you will not be able to educate a bronze in 20 minutes. You don't have to go 20-0-0, you don't have to kill people. Just push, win, next game. Push, win , next game. Always make plays with your **experience** in mind. P.S. Use the same strategy to escape silver, gold and platinum also. Gameplay (I mean micro mechanics) will be better, but in terms of macro, they still have no clue how to meet a splitpusher effectively. Watch videos on what splitpushing is and how to do it, if you are having trouble. But with those three champions, if you know how to play them, escaping Bronze will be a piece of cake.
: I tried free high level coaching before but they just analysed a replay, didn't help at all. No one's time is more valuable than anyone else's.

So once I start doing that and cs’ing much better I think I’ll be good. Just hate how in bronze people want kills more than a free tower or not understanding how much 1 kill can do to the opponent.
Yes, but do you know the answer to the two questions above? Post below if you think you do :) Remember that 99% of bronze don't know the answer :)

: But no matter what we do, there will always be people who dont know how to play support, so rather than waste 40 minutes of our time and 20lp, why not just let the queue times be a bit longer.
Yeah I'd agree with having the queue times a bit longer just so that everyone got their role. One thing they could do is delete "blind pick" mode, and have everyone in normals play draft. Then people would be more used to picking roles in champion select when it comes to ranked. Queue times would also be shorter.

: Please don't take away our jungle items.
Remember [this](https://nexus.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/2016/10/dev-on-depth-vs-accessibility/)? Specifically, the lines "What I’m talking about is that as a strategy, Riot decided that League wasn’t going to go after being a super easy to learn game for fear of losing the depth that the team wanted League to have.", and "But what we mean by it is: We don’t want to try to grow the League audience by making the game easy to understand and pick up." What a crock of shit. Homogenize everything, reducing SKILL in the game, has been happening since the juggernauts updates in season 5. And changing the jungle every year for the sake of it. Remember when they: - made it easier for noobs to hear when baron and dragon was taken, so they didn't have to time it or ward it? - made it easier for noobs by notifying when buffs are spawning on the mini-map Why reduce the skill of the game? Its been disappointing that Riot do this. haven't even talked about how they reduced the skill needed to play certain champions, e.g. Graves, Alistar.

Yep! {{sticker:slayer-jinx-wink}}
: Top lane is, without a doubt, the most boring lane in the game
Totally agree. Even Hashinshin whines about it. Top lane is on an island right now. And in general games are decided by what happens in the bot lane. Even if you are a fed top laner, you will lose to the fed enemy adc when your bot lane ints. Life was much better back in season 4, when a lot of champions had moments of "brokeness". LS likes to call it , "the meta is balanced by having many unbalanced champions." Skill was more of a factor back then, and outplays more common. The current meta of farming simulator just doesn't cut it.
: STOP AUTOFILLING PEOPLE SUPPORT
I started maining support in season 4 when i saw how bad players were at support. I was sick of useless schmucks when I was the adc. When you play support properly you really improve your macro play. It seems now that supports are even worse these days than back then. It's not a hard role to learn, but the playstyle is different. People should put some time into learning it. Back then there was none of this forced role champion select and every player had to learn a little about every role, for the better it may be said.

: Mixed opinions
There are a zillion resources on the internet to help you climb, possibly too much information for someone in bronze. Try to keep it simple. Watch one video on youtube and stick to that until you see change. Don't change your strategies all of the time. Learn more about the game. Seriously bronze is basically players that don't work together well as a team. They don't know what champions do, or what winning the game is really about. It should be easy to get out of bronze if **you do** know what these things are. It doesn't even matter what champions you play if you understand the game. Start with the basics, ask yourself these questions before the game even begins: 1) Why is there a top laner, a jungler, a mid, and two players in the bot lane? 2) Do I know what every champions abilities do and what roles that champion has for a team composition? I'm not talking about laning roles either, i'm talking about TEAM ROLES. If you cannot answer those questions, you need to figure them out before you play ranked at all. Question #1 is multifaceted. As for watching videos, try some guys on youtube, but not the clickbait idiots like NB3, Tyler1 or those entertainers. Go for some guys with learning content, like PantsareDragon, NEACE, Lastshadow, and search for "escaping bronze".
: League of Fairies
Players that want to quit early after a few deaths are fairies for sure. Idiots like that need to learn how to play defensive, not go for kills when behind. Stop the bleeding so that their team has a chance to carry them. But yeah the common misconception in soloqueue is that a lot of people think that they have to carry every game and cannot adjust their mindset when they fall behind.
: Why does no one want to live coach me?
People are allowed to change their minds. From coaching experience, some players are just not worth the effort to be coached, because they come in with all kinds of preconceived nonsense. No amount of coaching changes their mind. And essentially its not really coaching, just finding a sparring partner to prattle off some ideas. That being said, if you pay someone the right amount of money for their time, they might spend some time with you!
: Does anybody still play Blind Pick on OCE?
I think new players or smurfs are forced to play it until they have enough champions to play draft pick. Otherwise yeah, who cares about it. Tbh, they should just remove it, and let new players play draft with the free week champions.
