: RP adjustment in Oceania
Yes we all know Riot is shafting the little guy. They're US run, what did you expect? Why doesn't the US pay more for oil so the middle east would be better off? Profit. Riot will not increase the price of RP on the NA or EU server(s) as they are the company's cash cows. Don't tinker with a working machine and all that. They are still experimenting with OCE. The server is new. They want to see just how far they can go before substantial change occurs. realistically, they're making so much money off the other servers, if they made it AUD $100 for 1 RP and sold none, they'd lose sub 10% in profit. As is the western world, when currency fluctuates, the poor (lesser/newer/...) suffer so that the rich remain unaffected. Middle East gets worse - Oil price drops. Pretty simple.

I'm having a real hard time with this firewall BS. It only happens during the day. From 7 pm or so it stops disconnecting me after champ select. I haven't quite worked out when it starts however, possibly during my sleep hours. I really don't understand how it can work sometimes and not other times. Can we get down to brass tacks and can someone tell me, in their PROFESSIONAL OPINION, whether it's my ISP or Riot screwing me?

It's been happening since the 5.1 patch. Prior to that there were no issues. Dota 2, Starcraft 2 and World of Warcraft load perfectly. Either: My ISP coincidentally carried out their own patch at the exact time 5.1 patched. Or: The 5.1 patch is sub-optimal. Hmmm, it's not a hard one. Ask mom to help you if you can't figure it out Jason.

Just got off the phone with my ISP Support Centre. The problem is most definitely on Riot's end. He claims Riot has claimed responsibility for the issue and is working with them to resolve the issue, in that same breath he admitted to have not received any new updates from Riot in at least 2 weeks. "working" on it eh? The problem has been periodically reoccurring since 5.1 with no end in sight. From what I've managed to gather the problem is occurring 3 times more frequently for New Zealand based players and in set sequence. (i.e. dependent on your peak and off-peak times). Basically, Riot is either using inferior hardware or has no drive to address a severe programming error and have decided to "resolve" (be it only temporarily) the issue with load-shedding. Periodically and sequentially users are "blocked" by Riot to ensure lower traffic and a better gaming experience for the "unblocked". Sucks to live in NZ. Leaverbuster here we come! Yay!
: 5.1 Firewall
Purchased and loaded windows 8.1 last night. Tested my connection in a Custom Game, worked perfectly. Launched a ranked game right now and the problem is back. Have done all support stuff and still. Thanks Rito for another Low Priority Queue in T- 20. -_-'
