Hmm, simply follow through with the process to request a human agent. Something clearly triggered the BlitzBot response which isn't applicable in your case.

I'll be honest, been playing mostly Sea of Thieves with some mates lately, but what I have played of LoR I have thoroughly enjoyed. I don't know if it could take the place of Beta Gwent for me enjoyment-wise, but it's certainly close, and visually it's fantastic.

: Ban Appeal
So if I'm understanding the timeline correctly, 2 years ago you stopped playing the game and sometime soon after it was presumably hacked and the intruder got the account banned yes? If the compromise occurred ~2 years ago it could complicate things, but generally speaking, accounts that are banned as a result of actions taken under compromise can be fully restored. I will say now that there are exceptions to this and I cannot make any guarantees. Regardless, you should ensure that you have changed your password, the password for the associated email address, and any accounts that share those passwords. Then, you should submit an account recovery ticket to player support: https://support-leagueoflegends.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new Once the account is secure and ownership is verified, you can open the discussion for restoration.

: Why does the client suck so much after 10 years?
**RE Rune Pages:** It has been reported that a clean reinstall can resolve it. It's not a guaranteed fix but it has fixed it for some. The easiest way to run a clean reinstall is via the [Hextech Repair Tool](https://support-leagueoflegends.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/224826367-Automated-Troubleshooting-Hextech-Repair-Tool). **RE Champion Select:** I'm not aware of any global issues with this at the moment, so it could be either local to you or just affecting a smaller population. The same clean reinstall may resolve this issue, but it could also be connection or other related. Do you get any error messages? Crashes? Describe in detail what happens when you are prevented from entering champion select and I'll see what info I can find for you. **RE Friends List:** This issue is resolved for many (unfortunately not all) people by running a clean reinstall *and* resyncing and automating their computer clock. For Windows 10 you can do this by searching "Date and Time" in the start menu, opening the settings menu that comes up, turning on "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" and then pressing the "Sync Now" button.

It's still only the beta :) It'll come to Mac with the full release I imagine, maybe even before it leaves beta.

: Hi Ninox, Thanks for getting back to me. I've followed your suggestions and reset password + submitted an account recovery ticket. In the meantime, do you advise whether I should keep communicating with Jinxed Support (from the original ticket I submitted) about pursuing this investigation, or should I leave it and see how the account recovery ticket goes? Just that it doesn't seem like I can get a second opinion from the original ticket. Thanks for your help.
I would just follow through with the account recovery ticket. It's entirely possible the original agent saw no signs of compromise so didn't redirect you, but the team that handles account recovery (as I understand it) has specialised tools and training to look for deeper instances. Mostly compromise cases are pretty clear cut, but sometimes it's hidden a bit deeper which can cause delays in these sort of circumstances. Like I said though, there are exceptions/certain situations that would result in you being unable to recover the account. While rare, they do happen, so I can't make any guarantees.
: unban ME its been 2 years :(
A ban will only ever be removed if it was made in error. If you feel it was applied incorrectly you can appeal the punishment through player support: https://support-leagueoflegends.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new While I don't know the specifics of your punishment, it's worth noting that it doesn't matter who started it. If you continue it, you face punishment as well. Like the age-old adage "two wrongs don't make a right".

: Unless you are a famous streamer (thinking Tyler1), its probably not gonna happen. The other option could be to invest millions into Riot, buy your way in. But in reality the best way would be to make a new account, call it "8 inches long xd" and just play on that one. Seems quicker. If you get that one banned, make a new account called "7 inches long xd", just chop an inch off each time for punishment.
Tyler1 never had any accounts unbanned. His lifetime *player* ban was revoked because it was decided it didn't line up with Riot's fundamental goals for the punishment system, but he *never* regained access to any accounts that were previously perma-banned.

: Permaban Status - 3rd Party Software
The first step is to change your password and the password of the associated email address (also any other accounts that share either of those passwords). Then. submit specifically an account recovery ticket to player support: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new As you have guessed, chances are your account was compromised and used for cheats. In most cases, player support can reverse any punitive actions taken as a result of compromise once ownership of the account has been verified, and the account itself has been secured. There are exceptions to this, but sometimes the compromise is also just a little deeper and not as obvious to support. If you feel something has been missed, you can ask them for a second opinion, but follow through the account recovery first if you haven't already to secure the account.

Perhaps try turning character inking off? Maybe v-sync too? Could be some weird interaction there. Other possible solutions would include making sure your GPU drivers are up to date, and as a drastic measure running a clean reinstall.

: Yeah they said they can't reset the mastery even though I've read online that they have done it. I wonder if it might be possible to start a new account and get stuff like my wards, collection stuff and tft stuff moved over. I worked too hard to get my super epic TFT pet! :D
I do know that content transfer is something they can't do, unfortunately. As for reading about instances of it having been done, it's possible that not owning the champion shows the mastery as locked, misleading people into thinking that the mastery has also been reset when it actually hasn't.
: The standard progression after receiving a 14-day ban is a permanent ban (the reform card should state this). It is possible to drop back through punishment tiers by showing consistent positive/neutral behaviour, though there's no pre-defined period for how long that will take (generally 6-12 months is probably average).
Worth noting that there is no specific timeframe for two key reasons. The first is that it is designed to be individual, in much the same way as some people will progress through honour tiers faster than others. The other is to obfuscate the process for those who would intend to drop *just* below the line before offending again in order to keep their account but continue their problematic behaviour. Also worth mentioning that 'time' also has to translate to games played. It doesn't matter how long has passed so much as the consistency of the neutral/positive behaviour. If there are no games played the system has no way of verifying that behaviour, meaning you can't just play on an alt for a few months and expect the punished account to have dripped a tier.
Vellaura (OCE)
: Thank you for your reply, I'm happy to go with either option, its not hard getting back a hero. Do you know if champion removals have been done before?
They have yes, but I don't know if just removing the champ will also remove their mastery points. Champion removal I know they can do, but I am unsure on the mastery front. Your request isn't one I've encountered before so I don't know what they might or might not be able to do in this scenario. Needless to say, I am rather invested in how/if they can help you. :)

Yes. That's true it has been for a while. I think it was added in the middle of last year. But compared to how long I have been playing, it's been here for a while. For me, it is just a useless feature that riot decided to waste their time and focus on. Riot focussed on something that they didn't need to because there are already features that help identifies if a person is ingame or not. * The colours change based on the activity of the player. Red = Away or afk Green = Online Blue = In queue or ingame * Also hovering is very useful because it shows a lot of information. Level of person Character that is being played Actual status: ingame (game mode, time, ranked or normal) custom status * Messaging a friend to ask if they're ingame by using league chat is also a feature btw. Maybe its just my client idk. True. But if I didn't know who I wanted to play and can't choose, ain't it a better idea to play someone random and also have a chance of earning a s chest. I don't know about you but I used to be able to. Must be the recent league friends/chat problem. I know because I used to do this for a very long time. There's still a problem to this day. Also can't use the moblie league chat because of it. Sad thing is that I can't change my status on the mobile app :( {{sticker:zombie-nunu-tears}} tbh I liked the old client cause it was less buggy and had fewer issues even though it doesn't look as nice as the current one. Also the cropping in the league loading ingame screen crops the icons a considerable amount.
We're getting pretty off-topic here. If you'd like to offer feedback about features of the client or other issues you may be experiencing with it, I would encourage you to make your own post as it will get more traction that way, and won't detract from OPs original concerns. Help and Support posts don't appear on the front page of boards (as they are meant for question/answer type posts, not discussion) so posting feedback on this board is generally ill-advised.

Player support may be able to do that for you. I don't know if they can reset mastery or if the only option to do so would be to remove the champion from your collection entirely. The skins yes, but the borders will no longer come with them. The same will apply to the borders and icons for 2020 released prestige skins unless you craft them during the time that they are normally available. I believe they were given the same rarity as mythic skins (so a tiny chance).

>Even still, it's not a bannable offence quoting Riot. Source; Tickets submitted last year. I would very much like to see those tickets. >Chat restrictions usually occur with a GGEZ, or goes straight to a ban ~Source; multiple friends accounts. GGEZ alone won't get you a punishment (except *possibly* in some very extreme circumstances), though it can contribute. Would very much like to see any source that indicates otherwise. If someone has skipped straight to a ban with no chat restricts, it's because they exhibited no tolerance behaviour. >This systems broken though. You can be critical error'd constantly (a clients problem), and still be considered a leaver. ~Source; Current problems, Tickets from last year, multiple players bringing it up in help and support section. A leaver is a leaver, the reason is irrelevant as far as that label is concerned. As for LeaverBuster punishments, you don't get one for your first few leaves to account for the occasional problem. At a point it doesn't matter whether you are making a conscious decision to leave the game, because making a conscious decision to play a game knowing you have consistent issues that would prevent you from playing that game yields the same result. >False. while a current boosting method, it's not a bannable offense. More often than not, you'll come across people who have afk'd games YOU'VE played multiple times over weeks and are still there. Playing. In your game. in your team. ~Source; research me and people I play with have done for proof to debunk and upset Riot. AFKing isn't really something that's used as a boosting method... it's a wildly impractical method and the people who are boosting care rather more about efficiency. You are correct that AFKing generally isn't a bannable offence though. The vast majority of leaves will only ever incite a LeaverBuster penalty. >This is probably the only accurate-ish thing you've said so far. Riot have confirmed previously that it's okay to start fights, but responding is wrong. ~Source; Multiple complaints made in person at CONS, tickets submitted previously, and research me and a few others have done for fun. : Mustn't have been me who got the 14 day ban however This chat log still doesn't warrant a permanent ban regardless of the 14 day. Also I've had other "Emissary" mods/support staff tell me an accounts age doesn't mean anything in terms of bans. Fast as fuck way to put players off the game if it is though. Imagine this: New to league. finally get out of bots (people do this in bots as well though). Get into game. Forced into support. only free champs. you say "I'm new guys" and get instantly flamed out (it happens frequently). you get into game. you die/give first blood/ don't follow your adc/jg into an unwinnable fight. "Fuck you you stupid %%%% why the fuck?" followed by frequent "?" or MIA pings. This is League in Oceanic. and the fact that the logic behind it is "experienced" players with older accounts can flame new people out is pathetic. I can say with 100% certainty that SInce s3/s4 this game had much, much more lenient punishments than now yet somehow the game has gotten so fucking toxic that it's almost unbearable to play even with friends. The system doesn't work. Shit I've had accounts on games since 05 that have never had a mute on them in games with insanely toxic communities who get name/chat banned frequently.
Because saying the age of the account can be a bit misleading, and clearly you have taken it the wrong way. Let me rephrase it. If you have a strong and/or long positive/neutral history on your account, then that will be taken into consideration for *borderline* punishments. You are not exempt from any rules, nor are you given free rein to tell people all sorts of nasty things. If the system is on the edge of punishing you, that history *might* be just enough to push it back for that one instance. If you have a strong and/or long negative history, you are on thinner ice, and that history can be enough to push it the other way. You don't get punished for being abused, nor do you get punished for defending yourself. You can get punished for abusing back.

: Banned for this Posting chat log and pointing out what and why it was said as well as an explanation
Lord Sesshomaru pretty much summed up the principle here, but there are two key factors that contribute to this being a permanent ban and not a chat restriction. First, this is a new account (in level if not time). New accounts get a lot less leeway than older accounts. Consider it as a factor of the percentage of games. 1 bad game on an account with 10 games is 10%. 1 bad game on an account with 1000 games is 0.1%. While clean history doesn't give you a free pass to do whatever, it can make a difference when it comes to borderline behaviour. Second, you have previously had a 14-day ban. Typically, punishments follow 4 tiers: 2 chat restrictions (10-game then 25-game), 14-day ban, then a permanent ban. There are some behaviours (e.g. hate speech, suicide encouragement, etc) that can skip those chat restriction tiers which it seems you ran afoul of with your last punishment. Regardless of how you got there, you had passed that 3rd tier with permanent suspension being the punishment for any further offences. This should not have been a surprise either, as the 14-day reform card explicitly states that any further violations can result in permanent suspension of the account. ___ TL;DR - This wasn't a permanent ban because of the severity of this particular instance, but because of negative history and ignored warnings. The level of the account is also a contributing factor.

: How come nearly everyone on OCE boards is banned
In addition to what Xayah said, people are far more likely to complain than compliment. Get exactly what you wanted? Great, how often do you express that at a store or service provider beyond perhaps a brief "thanks"? Don't get what you wanted (regardless of whether it's justified or not)? You're probably going to complain to someone. That's just human nature, and it's rooted in negativity bias. OCE boards in particular don't get a huge degree of engagement. It mostly exists as a problem share/solve space rather than a content space, so the majority of posts are exactly that. The larger servers tend to attract the content creators regardless of where they actually play, because the audience is simply bigger.

The quotation marks for status have been there for ages. They are to distinguish between actual client status (In Game, Creating ..., Away, etc.) and written statuses. Neither I nor my partner have any drama with chat alignment in select and I haven't heard any other mentions of the issue so I'm not exactly sure what/why you are experiencing that. It really doesn't take much to look at the chest counter on your profile, and they have to limit the amount of extraneous information in champ select to keep the focus on the actual selection, so I doubt this is something they would consider implementing, but there are various places you could offer that feedback if it's a feature you feel important. I don't believe you could ever view offline profiles directly from the friend list however you can always just search their profiles by Summoner Name.

Its like a parent giving their child the belt and then saying "i did it because i knew what you were going to say just there!". that logic doesnt work. you get punished for breaking the rules. NOT ALMOST breaking the rules
It has nothing to do with how much you are typing and everything to do with the content. The content is still problematic, just to a lesser degree than things like hate speech. Threats absolutely *are* a jailable offence if you keep it up, even if you don't follow through. In the same way, a single comment, even a single comment here and there is exceedingly unlikely to get you any sort of punishment (even a warning punishment) in League unless it involves the afore-mentioned no-tolerance language. Consistent exhibition of problematic behaviour though, *will* get you punished. It's also nothing like "giving a child the belt". It's more like telling a child "you can't be trusted not to break this toy (as you have done multiple times in the past), so until you can learn to moderate your destructive behaviour and take responsibility for it, you won't have access to the toy. If you can't, then you won't ever get the toy back." In the example I gave, Caleb *has* broken the rules. The offence may be less severe than Sam's, but *it is still a violation of the rules*.

: Hi Ninox, Thanks for your reply. Please note I have done the 3 steps as mentioned above however I accidentally submitted the ticket under the wrong option instead of "I need to Recover an Account" Should I resubmit a new ticket or just wait for the existing one to be re-directed? Thanks.
Account Recovery tickets are rather unique, and you have to be logged out to submit them. If you submitted a regular ticket they will direct you to open an account recovery one anyway, so you may as well do that now and skip the wait.

: Account Hacked and Cheated on, resulted in a unjust perma ban on my account.
1. Change the password for the associated email address, and any other accounts that share those passwords as well. 2. Run an anti-virus scan on your computer. 3. Submit an account recovery ticket to player support: https://support-leagueoflegends.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new (Select the "I need to Recover an Account" option). Once the account is secure and ownership is verified support can generally restore the account. There are some exceptions to that, but usually when a ban is issued for actions taken under compromise, that account can be fully restored.

Hmm. **1: Check that League isn't running in compatibility mode.** > ### *a. Right-click on the League shortcut[](https://.)b. Choose properties[](https://.)c. Go to Compatibility tab[](https://.)d. Unpick the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"[](https://.)e. Click Apply.[](https://.)[](https://.)f. : they need to rework what actually merits a permanent ban from a chat offense. racism and homophobia as well as reference to suicide is a no brainer, but name calling and cursing, is that really needed? a study from the US schools department said that over 89% of all boys from ages 8 above had seen large ammounts of pornography. and meanwhile league is giving people timeouts for naughty words. oof.
Riot puts a big emphasis on reform, but at a point, they have to protect their community, their majority of positive/neutral players, over the small percentage of players who don't reform after multiple punishments. If the deterrent isn't working, then removal becomes your next option. Consider two hypothetical players. One is generally quite cool-headed, but when they finally snap they whip out stuff that is far beyond anything remotely okay (hate speech, threats, etc.). We'll call this player "Severe Sam". Our other player doesn't say anything close to the degree of what Sam pulls out, but they are being negative and insulting in the majority of their games. We'll call this player "Consistent Caleb" Sam's road is pretty black and white. There isn't really any context where such behaviour is ok, and certainly not in a public space. Caleb, on the other hand, sits in a bit of a grey area. His behaviour isn't necessarily destroying the environment he is playing in like Sam's does, but he's certainly not pleasant to play with either, so he gets his first punishment - a chat restriction - to gently warn him that he's slipping over the line and being too negative too often. Caleb ignores the punishment because "he's seen worse" and, "he didn't really say anything all that bad", discounting all the reasons *he* was warned for *his* behaviour. So he continues and is punished again, and again. Caleb is finally perma-banned, and he asks "why?". It isn't because of one instance of behaviour. Nor is it because of one poor choice. Nor is it because the log that finally got him perma-banned was especially bad. It's because he was consistently negative, was warned repeatedly (generally 3 times), with an explicit warning of what continuing the behaviour would result in, and ignored each and every one. Caleb *knows* by now that his behaviour was not acceptable. Even if he didn't necessarily agree with where the line was set, he knew that he was crossing it and that doing so may result in the loss of his account, and he did it anyway. Caleb can throw around statements like "but this other guy did way worse than me" all he likes, but his *cumulative* impact is higher than Sam's was with his two games of 'glory' before permanent suspension, so why should Caleb be free and clear?
: I Believe their used to be an event where banned players were allowed to play with their chat limited and being closely watched and if they showed improvement they could have their accounts temporarily re instated, similiar to a good behaviour bond, or bail during a court trial lol. I dont know if this system has been scrapped or not. or if it was just a one-time thing.
There was a test that would allow permanently banned players to earn their accounts back after a period of good behaviour, however, it resulted (unfortunately as expected) in near-universal relapse rates. That is, basically everyone who earned their account back went right back to the behaviours that got them banned in the first place or other negative behaviours. In the end, instead of offering players a final chance to get their behaviour on the right track, it only served to cheapen the meaning of 'permanent' for those players, reducing the impact of that final punishment. In short, it had the opposite effect of what was hoped and so was permanently scrapped, with efforts instead going to encouraging positive behaviour through systems like Honour and Hextech Crafting.
: I feel like this is a bug. I have it too and it's very annoying, the post game client in general feels very glitchy atm.
It is a bug, but there were other more impactful issues that needed fixing before season start. You can still tell when people have left the lobby because the "player has left" message still functions as normal.

: League client stuck. Help.
When you hit what I can only assume is the OK button, and then the X in the client, is there an option to Sign Out (as opposed to just exit)? Failing that, change the password for your Japan account and it should force a logout (which may or may not help depending on where in the startup this is). If neither helps, then a reinstall or ticket to support (who will probably suggest you reinstall) is pretty much your only option.
