Ah, that is a very good theory.

A free summoner icon is better then a kick in the teeth :D

: Ever been chat restricted or banned? What year did you start playing? Did they come same time, as in one after another, or was there a gap (day or so)? Answer those and can probably answer your question.
Restricted a million and one times. uh, season one I think? or two. And all at once except the last one which was the next day.
: pretty sure its a bug. My "rewards from Riot" were simply ward skins and stuff I bought during snowdown. Plus an icon.
I did get one skin that I bought myself as a "Gift" but the rest I didn't own.
Talon12 (OCE)
: What were they?
Uh, Bad Santa Veiger and Cursed Revenant Nocturne.

: Like the others have said, OP.GG is everyone's go to for their "MMR". However, take any number it pops out at your with a grain of salt as it is likely to be inaccurate and not reflective of your actual MMR (as Riot haven't released the algorithm for the MMR calculation to the public). The number shown on these sites is usually just a ballpark estimate.
I find OP.GG Takes a really long time to update stats.

: Ima guess rito is saying you need to drop an elo down or drop to the correct elo that you belong to. Gaining 19 lp is the standard amount (average) but losing more than you gain is bad. Gaining more than 20lp is good, 25 + is even better and anything below i suppose 18-17 is alright/bad Edit: Ok youre probably wondering why certain amounts mean awesome-good-bad (sorry i couldnt add it in because i had to go shower) Everything depends on your mmr. For example i did all my placements and landed on s5. If i play 1-2 games and i gain lets say 27 lp, that is saying that i dont belong in the current elo that i am and should be higher than the elo (mmr is higher than the current elo). If i gain 19-23 lp that says that i belong or my skills are in the current elo. Anything below 17 i suppose is basically danger and most likely going to drop if u lose the next few games (technically gaining 15 lp or less is that stage)
Ah, that makes sense, thanks for straightening that out for me.

So hooray for riot a permanent 30% word filter, poeple can go fuckfuckfuckfuck and have the whole lot filtered isnt that great.
Well, that makes sense. I had a feeling it was just something to do with riot or the client.

: Ahaha, I wouldn't say no to more refunds, but I also don't think there's any real obligation there. If anything I'd say make it clearer you get 3 and three only, and make them not usable on IP purchases. I don't have huge amounts of disposable income, especially now, so I regret buying skins for champions I don't really play. I love Lunar Goddess Diana but I don't play DIana.
Understandable. Just more refunds would be helpful for those purchases that were out of pure stupidity, like buying Imperial lux. lol
: f2p btw
f2p but p2win (; Skins = wins
Ninox (OCE)
: I thought I was bad :P Though admittedly most of my spendings were earlier on when I didn't have anything to save towards. I don't regret most of my RP purchases, some though certainly :P.
Honestly, you aren't given enough refund options, 3 is an incredibly small amount compared to how many skins/champs there actually is. I've gotten to the point where every week $50 goes on and get's spent on nothing but Hextech chests, and that isn't because I want Hextech Annie/Vayne or ward, I already own all three, it's because I just can't decide on what skin I actually want. Can't say I regret any of my purchases, every champion in league of legends is amazing, and has a wildly different play style, they're all amazing, ...except Ivern, stupid dopey tree.

: God damn, that's like 3/4 of a college tuition XD Also how did you buy 0.629999999997 worth of RP?
ahaha, I really didn't think I'd gotten so far ahead of myself when purchasing RP. And I really don't know how. x'D Maybe from a half completed phone transaction or something.

Some of us have all champions, other than making 150-300 blue essence they are useless. getting mastery is the only way to use up that essence, essentially the only other way is to re roll them into a new champ that comes out, essentially not ahving to put any time or effort into getting them with IP or RP

I find when it does that for me, it's usually a lag issue with League. Try just restarting your client and trying again if that happen.
: Hey there, While I don't use Boku myself, I just checked and it seems Telstra is still a selectable network carrier (See image below) http://puu.sh/oRmqD/8b6f0d8f81.png

: I'm glad I could help, and our friend in the thread is a good example of why it's never worth engaging. They are as you say, setting out to make trouble, you getting dragged into it is hardly going to make them stop that. League can be a uniquely frustrating game at times, which is why it's so important to take a break for that perspective. It seems to me that you genuinely believe you can reform your behaviour, and seem to be willing to take steps to do so, instead of sitting around waiting for the community to suddenly change what they find offensive and then bitch when you get a perma ban. You've taken the warnings to heart and that's what they're all about. The whole point of the tier system is to encourage reform in those who would be willing. So respect to you for trying, it takes a big person to accept fault in yourself. Good luck to you :)
I will be sure to take this advice to the Rift, in hopes to improve my gameplay experience :) Thank you for the talk!~ Much appreciated.

No, it isn't. But thank you for proving my point.

: Right so it looks like the first thing you wanna know is this: > **PUNISHMENTS GENERALLY FOLLOW A BASIC ESCALATION PATH:** >** First Offense:** 10 Game Chat Restriction **Second Offense:** 25 Game Chat Restriction **Third Offense: **Two Week Suspension **Fourth Offense: **Permanent Suspension >However, it is possible to skip to a Two Week or Permanent suspension based on the severity of the behavior in the game. Excessive negative behavior can result in a Two-Week or Permanent suspension at any time without having a chat restriction on the account. This and a whole bunch of other stuff about how the system works can be found in the newly updated [INSTANT FEEDBACK SYSTEM FAQ](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/207489286-Instant-Feedback-System-FAQ-). ___ The second thing it will be important for you to know is this: > **BUT WHAT IF I REFORM? IS IT POSSIBLE TO GO DOWN THE ESCALATION PATH?** Yes! Players who show consistent reform or show positive behavior in their games will help heal their accounts reputation. [It takes 3 months of good behaviour to drop a punishment tier](http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/f/mNBeEEkI/d/p7scKW1K?comment=00050000000000000000). What this means is that if your last punishment was a 25 game chat restriction, and you demonstrate good/neutral behaviour for 3 months your next punishment will be a 25 game chat restriction again. Another 3 months and you'd be down to a 10 game chat restriction. ___ As for your question specifically, there is no way to check what your account standing is, but if you've been chat restricted recently it's safe to assume it isn't 'clean'. However, if you continue to demonstrate good behaviour you needn't worry about receiving a permanent ban. The reform card in your email will give you the date of when your last punishment was, which ought to give you a good idea where you sit. I'd like to offer you some advice, but also some congrats. You've recognised that your behaviour is unacceptable, and tried to distance it from those it could hurt, that is a really solid start, you also have recognised your situation BEFORE you hit perma ban, something which we unfortunately don't see a lot of here on boards. So kudos to you for that. ___ Now for the advice. The first thing I notice is this: > keeping my hatred for the low lives on my blessed server away from the rift Now I don't really know who you're defining as 'low lives', but I'll try to give you a bit of perspective. Tactical disagreements and just being plain bad at the game are not punishable behaviours, everyone has to start somewhere, and you're idea of the 'right' tactic will often not align with someone else's. Try to see things from their perspective if you find it's tilting you, and if you can't do that, or if they're being overly stubborn, just play around it. _If they're determined to go for baron and you know that it's the wrong call, but they're going to do it anyway, rather than thinking about how much of an idiot they are, try to think instead of how you can use it to your advantage. Maybe you can split push bot lane while everyone is distracted at Baron, or maybe you can set up and ambush around it. Maybe all you can do is sweep the pit so the enemy doesn't have vision, but it still drastically reduces the risk._ The other category you might be considering here is negative players. Those that demonstrate toxic or troll behaviours or are just generally out to ruin your game for one reason or another. This of course IS reportable behaviour. Please be aware that the system will only see games that have been reported, so if you don't report in post game, nothing will happen to them. _Retaliation is NOT an acceptable response to these kind of players, and will only serve to get you punished as well. Defending yourself is fine, but responding with negativity in kind is not. It only creates cycles of negativity._ **In either case, try considering what you have to gain by engaging with them. If someone is refusing to listen, or badmouthing you, what can you really say that is going to change that? The answer more often than not is _nothing_. ** **Engaging with negativity in any way just adds fuel to the fire, so ignoring them completely is your best bet, whether you choose to actually mute them or not. And if someone is set on a decision, you aren't going to change their mind, just waste time typing when you could be playing the game.** ___ There are a few things I'd recommend if you find yourself tilting or steering towards negativity. 1. **Mute everyone:** If you can't engage positively, then don't engage at all, simply mute everyone and play the game to the best of your ability. 2. **Move your chat off screen/unbind your chat key:** Muting doesn't stop you from typing, just from reading, so if you find you are still tempted, remove chat from the equation entirely. Negativity hurts your gameplay and experience as well. 3. **Take a step back and a deep breath:** Sometimes all you need is a bit of space to remember that ultimately you are faced with some stranger on the internet who you will likely never see again. Their opinion should matter as little to you as yours does to them. Just because someone is being a bit of a potato or being angry and negative themselves doesn't mean you have to as well. 4. **Turn off summoner names: **Maybe this one seems a little strange, or like it wouldn't do anything, but if you're the kind of person that tends to fixate on someone's bad plays or negativity then it can actually help a lot. You'll see here on boards people that say they have lists or keep checking back on negative players they've encountered in the past to see if they are still playing, and all that does is keep around this lingering negativity you feel over something relatively insignificant. You can't ofc turn off summoner names in post game or match history, but you can just avoid them entirely. If you've had a bad game, is it really worth looking at the stats? Just click skip waiting for stats and avoid your match history until you've let it go. 5. **Take a break: **Try to stay out of the "Just one more game" mentality. If you've had a bad game, chances are your next is going to be a a bit sour, maybe your next few. Instead take a break, do something else for a little while until you're out of the funk. I see people say things like "why should I have to take a break because of someone else?" but how about instead "Why would I play another game if I know I'm going to be salty?". Don't force bad experiences on yourself, League isn't going anywhere. ___ That ended up a lot longer than I thought it would... _**tl;dr Read the first two bits for the official info, and then try to find out why you're negative and find ways to avoid it, it'll make your experience, and the experiences of everyone you play with that much better.**_
I appreciate the time spent to post this comment. In regards to the "low lives" I am referring to the people who set out to cause trouble, such as my new friend below (Corki did 911) who think causing problems is funny. My problem is i'm not a naturally toxic person, I just have alot of anger issues that summoners so to trigger often, which in term ends with me getting reported for flaming hard. (I guess Muting would be the option I'd need but hey, Ego... ya know) I think I might just try your 5 pieces of advice, think it's time to go back to Warframe for a while.

You're funny, bark more.
: The idea of the chat bans is to provide you a chance to reform. The way you are wording this question, it appears you are waiting for a complete reset before you revert to your original toxic behaviour. If this is the attitude you bring to the game, expect that eventually, your account will be permabanned.
That isn't what I was getting at when asking this question, simply wanted to know if there was actually a way to track behaviour records, see how much my positivity since my toxic days has changed.. (if you get what I mean)

: Save the IP for trolling your friends by changing your name every week :P Soon enough your champ shards will be useful as you can use them for the higher up champion mastery levels.
That comment humours me, considering in the past month I've been known as SoCloseToStoned, ConcreteJunkie and now, not 5 minutes before reading this, I've yet again changed to JohnCenaConfirmd. I guess I will save the shards instead of wasting them re-rolling. xD
Ingénue (OCE)
: Hextech chests aren't meant to completely replace the shop (which is something that would likely happen if what you are suggesting was implemented for those players). As it stands, it seems like these is a slightly more chance of getting a skin than a champion. Even if you already own all the champions, you can just hoard the shards to re-roll them upon the release of new champions.
What would the point be of re-rolling for the new champ, when the time comes that a new champ has been released I've got so much IP saved I can buy the champ straight away, regardless? :P
