: Did you guys forget to put Lux in the champ changes or did she receive no small buff :/
She got in there eventually!
: Does Kayn, Xayah and Rakan not get any base buffs? not listed on the champion buffs.
Updated! They're in there now.
: Just a heads up, you guys forgot to include the other 2 combat runes under precision, only coup de grace is there.

: As someone who was there on the Friday i thought it was a overall good experience, the atmosphere was great and there was a lot of respect between all the players no matter who won their games. i have some feedback to maybe help for next year - assuming it will carry on next year which i hope it does, it was a great experience. - The headsets didn't work for our games, we got help from a staff member to try and fix them but he didn't really know how to. from what i heard none of the headsets worked on the day until right at the end when most had finished their games. maybe choosing slightly better headsets would be better in future. - Things seemed a little disorganised when it came to the Sportsmanship Workshop, at least on the Friday. most were standing around not really knowing where to go because it was quite behind schedule and some of the staff there didn't really know when it was happening. although when it finally happened it was actually quite good, the conversations i had with other players were good and they were all nice people. (maybe get your rioters familiar with League terms, the rioter doing the workshop didn't know what inting (intentional feeding) was haha!) - The computer monitors were square, something I and many others weren't used to and the game felt a little weirder because of it. everything felt a little smooshed and a bit odd, although this is a minor complaint. - The location was great and having food stalls around made it a good place to sit and talk between rounds about what could be learned from the last game and other strategies. the location was also easily accessible, if you couldn't get there by car or bus there is a train station near by making it easier for people a little further away to get there no issue. - The Riot staff were very nice and welcomed all of us. they were all friendly and did their best to help where they could if someone was having technical difficulties. the Star Guardian Lux and Freljordian Taliyah cosplayers were nice too handing out how they described 'swag League merch' also offering a group picture. I hope this feedback helps with any future events with schools you guys do, i was there on the Friday so these issues may have not been the case on the Saturday, however i wouldn't know. I'm looking forward to see if next year this will be happening again, it would be a shame to stop it everyone had a great time. despite the criticisms i really enjoyed my time and thank you for doing this for us students, don't get to really do much things we want at our schools but you gave us this opportunity and we are thankful. Thank you i hope this proves helpful! {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}}

Yup, you can get the Chroma now, then buy the skin later in the event, or next year. When you buy the skin, the border/chroma will be ready for you!

: I see what your saying but what about for a game mode time called time warp. different characters gain new skins of them being older because zilean or ekko screwed every thing up. so the teams fight on a new map (maybe an older league of legends crumbling stadium). the story behind this could be that zilean or ekko made 2 separate old timelines intercept and the only way to fix it is to take out the opposing time line so they can return to the past. as you said after annie will go back to being annie and the rest of the characters. but they all have cool skins as well as ekkos' character being less hollow and more story behind him. again this is an idea and annie is a very iconic character and the rework Idea was because her graphics are starting to look older and you can tell she has had a lot of love from the creators but she has kinda been ignored and since the rework on warwick came out so awesome (seriously I love the new warwick) that I wonder how much better her character could be if her graphics were updated along with a new cool looking skin. again I love to play annie she was the first champion I bought and she is still fun now. but ideas can still stay idea and innovation from the public can make league of legends an even better game. all the best riot!
That sounds pretty great! Kind of like DBZ's History of Trunks where we get to see a 'future that could have been' timeline with grizzled LoL champs. Who else would do you think would fit in this mode? As far as reworks go, I myself am especially down with the Galio one, as each skin now feels like a legendary one. Enchants (*ahem* Blue Buff) Galio looks ace.
: champ Rework idea for Annie
An older Annie would be cool! Maybe OG Tibbers is far more worn, with some hectic patches and a torn-off arm from years of love? Or even has some modifications? Do you think she'd be better at controlling her power now or barely able to keep them contained? The problem with the ageing factor is that none of our other characters age (room for a grandma/grandpa line anyone?). To me, Annie is so unique to League because she's a little girl with a hell of an attitude. If she were to become a teen, we'd be stepping on Jinx's territory and I think we'd lose a lot of what makes Annie... Annie. An older gen skin line could do it, alongside a teenage NuNu and a left out, un-aged Amumu (forever alone), but that steps on academy territory. This would be more than a skin too, as it would be a complete character rework with a new model in-place; the old animations wouldn't fly for a taller character... which brings us back to the previous issue. But these are mere logistics! I'd be keen to see some fanart of older Annie, or a short story at least — because now I'm intrigued: just how does a dangerous little girl with fire powers, a temper and a giant bear for a bud turn out?
: how old are you
: Nothing immediately comes to mind, keep up the good work. Another question, if you had to describe OCE in a picture or words, how would you describe it? What do you associate with OCE? Personally, I associate OCE with water and islands, champions like {{champion:267}} {{champion:105}} and water themed skins come to mind. Edit: Oooh you could show me the way of words and write a short story about OCE
Oceania's like an ocean with a heart. It's amazing to see how passionate our slice of the world is. In OPL the 'Fighto' mentality of Sin Gaming shows our gusto, in Ocean Week the sheer amount of games the Homeguards put in to defeat each monster shows our dedication, and the fact that y'all are round on the boards chatting about League shows our passion. It's a cool community to be part of, that's for sure!

Doesn't even go "Traditional", I can respect that. New question, has there ever been an idea or concept that you've wanted to do really badly, but you know that it's just never going to be feasible? ( Perhaps a bad concept that would never sell, but entertain you a lot, or something that requires more production value than you have access to )
Always! there are so many, but I'll just unleash one. I want to start a series of magazines called 'Gamer Obscura' that follows the evolution of gaming and film alongside each other, comparing similarities and differences, with big features on key developers, systems, hardware titles etc as it goes through the ages. This has never happened, and print is having a really hard time right now, but you never know, maybe someday! How about you? What's something you'd like to achieve Jason? Judging how your FanFic entry evolved into a rad video, I imagine you'd have some ace ideas up your sleeve...
: Have you ever found a blatant league copy? As in same characters different names and looks. And if so what did you do about it if you did anything?
Heya! Across all media/business there's so much replication. It sucks when someone is doing something unique and another person comes to cash in on it, but at the same time it keeps things competitive and, more importantly, moving forward. If first person shooters stopped at Wolfenstein, then we'd never have Doom. If they then stopped at Doom, we'd never have Half Life, or Halo or Borderlands etc. The theory here is, if you're doing something excellent, then players will keep helping you do that excellent thing. The best thing that you can do is ensure that you're delivering the best product you possibly can for people who actually want it. What I love about League is that it's constantly evolving. The game is insanely different to what it was in 2009, and that's largely due to such a passionate community that's so vocal around what they like, what they don't like and how to improve it. A blatant League copy isn't a reason to get angry/scared, it's a challenge, and a good reason to avoid complacency. A day may come where a League clone eats us alive and if it does, so be it. If that game is able to give players more than we can, it means we've failed, so all the best to them. But in the words of my favourite King of Gondor, it is not this day!
: Fire emblem, fire emblem, fire emblem. Silas is ekko.. Why did you hide this from me ;-; Can I add you and inconsistently bother you about little things such as that massive tooltip issue on shen's q?
: ok question of the universe time, bacon or pizza
...don't... do... this... to... me. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE?! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CHOOOOOOOSE!???????
: Hopefully we can all be mature adults about this one. I personally believe that what this game lacks is an accurate enough ranking system because the current one being heavily determined by 4 other random players on your team every game just doesn't give me the opportunity to control my own rank, and I have been working for 5+ years to play professionally, currently I have the best stats in the world relative to twitch mains (by no small margin either). I cannot convince anyone that the system is far too inaccurate with facts and despite delivering an acceptable although untested alternative which I offered to also help refine, it was turned down. I find myself unable to follow my passion and dream, and yet it seems to be the only thing within reach in the near future yet not within realistic control. How would you go about dealing with or working with this dilemma, or do you have anything you would like to add?
Heya WhitePumah! This is a hard one. At its core, League is a team game, so it makes sense that the team element plays a large role in the outcome of each game. For context—ranked climbing is definitely not my speciality as I'm livin' in Bonze at the moment—but with that said, here's my two cents. Playing with strangers can be hard sometimes, but it can also be amazingly rewarding too. If you're finding that teammates are dropping the ball on occasion and hindering you from getting you where you need to go, have you tried pulling a posse together of players you trust to head in on ranked? Given the nature of the beast, it's important to recognise that League will always be about 5 members, not 1, and the more you're aware of this, the more you can do to make that work in your favour. The system's not perfect, and it sucks it's causing you grief, but keep at it! Out of interest, what's your alternative? I'd be keen to hear what changes you'd like to see here.

: Hello Hanshmear! Can you please describe your most hipster moment? Big fan of your work!
One time I made a camping stove out of a tree stump by cutting an asterisk shape into the top and lighting it from the middle so that it became a self sustaining, hand cut stove. That's pretty deep.
: Do you like pie?
M8 I love pie! Hot Tip: if yer ever in NSW Nelson's Bay [Red Neds](http://www.redneds.com.au/pies.html) is the pie kingdom. Too much info?
: will graves have his cigar on oce? if not, why?
I honestly don't know at this stage, but I damn well hope so.
: Interesting -- I'm an RPG diehard so I always pay extra attention to games with 'blank' main characters. I don't quite vibe with contemporary criticisms of game that still choose to encourage players to project their personalities and values onto their main character -- Square Enix might make more fleshed-out characters than Atlus, but both are valid. I don't know about 'best', but the piece I'm most proud of is the SKT vs KT preview I contributed to with ESPN's Fionn back in 2013 when we were both scrubs: http://www.liquidlegends.net/forum/lol-general/427484-ogn-summer-the-finals-skt-t1-vs-kt-bullets The actual writing is all over the shop -- the voice is inconsistent and it doesn't read very easily, but it came at a point in time where I was super invested in OGN, and I think I managed to communicate my depth of knowledge and pure passion. Writers only improve technically with time, but passion comes and goes. If we can hold onto our passion as writers, we're doing fine I reckon!
Too true! Skill comes with constant output and practise. For anyone who's interested in a career as a writer, just write! You may not always be able to write about what you love, but there's a lot to gain from spending time writing in a variety of styles on a huge breadth of subjects. The more varied the better. I agree with you in regards to the 'blank' character. It's a technique quite unique to gaming that can achieve some amazing things. Films can utilise it to an extent, but the projection of the viewer is limited in comparison to what RPGs can achieve. As for the article Alex, I'll have a look at this one tonight when I'm home, but I've read some of your more recent stuff and you write extremely well! It's colloquial and enjoyable to read, so I look forward to reading more!

: What do you main? are you silver? nvm looked up your account.... Any plans for the new client incoming?
I main Lux atm! I get so much joy from dishing out Qs in mid lane. When mid's out, I have been hitting Jayce up top or Rakan in sup. I'm currently a Bronze scrub and proud, but have started the long climb to silver. Watch this space.
: Considering that she is my favourite champ of the game and how her lore got updated too, it definitely has to be Quinn. I just love her lore, story, everything about her. I wondered at first about her changed lore but since it kept most of the elements of her old lore and introduced a whole lot more I was super happy about it :)
When I first started with League I loved playing Quinn adc alongside a Blitz sup. She was the first character I really felt comfortable with. I love her slightly slumped posture and the way she moves: it's a bit dorky (her dance too) and quite different to most of the "cool" champs.
: Random guy but my favourites are probably new Lux because she just says "No" to the rules, Taric because it shows he's not just a pushover beauty guy and Sion because he has none. He just kills (Krombopulos Michael)
My brother currently mains Taric support and is so fabulous in the role, a real rock that the team can rely on, and I've been on Lux of late so I have to agree with you! A magic user in an anti-magic world has the same kind of duality spoken as the chars above.
: What are the main things you change with the OCE page compared to the other regions?
The amount of League-based content that comes from devs and content creators for all regions is quite large at the moment. With different sections like Ask Riot, /dev, champ updates and skin release flooding the site, we've been focusing on pushing things that are more relatable to oce. Lately, we've been really trying to give visibility to community content: fanfic and art, high school and uni events. We've also really thrown a lot of time into the opl this year, as we really believe in the league and want to provide you guys with as much content surrounding the goings on as possible! The biggest thing that differs our publishing calendar to other regions' cals is Ocean Week though. I'd love to offer more events of this ilk, or oce focused guides, going forward. Anything you'd like to see?

: Fantasy is absolutely my jam. The idea of creating amazing worlds has always won me over and I especially love the interesting systems of magic that different authors come up with! Aside from that, I've always loved any novel or story that is written by an author with a great mastery of language. I love the poetic phrases by Patrick Rothfuss, the use of slang in A Clockwork Orange and the humorous lines in Good Omens.
I'm glad you mentioned Rothfuss! I love how detailed and almost scientific the study of magic is in that series. The third book can't come quick enough, really.
: Not sure if you've read all of the champions lores but if so which one is your favourite? Or, well, which champion lore is your favourite anyway?
I love Kindred! The duality of death—and those that choose to fight/accept it—is so intriguing to me. I also really dig Kled, the tough as nails, never say die fighter who rides a cowardly mount has potential for some excellent stories or, at the very least, a really fun D&D character. A fanfic story from the Skins Story Slam by Saben about [Dreadnova Gangplank](https://boards.oce.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/contest-fan-fiction/8mTzb4NJ-sss-finalist-the-dreadstar) made me put him right up there too. His reaction as he's about to get sucked into the void is just so damn great. How about you?

: Hey! Bubsy isn't that bad! It's not just because I get the most joy in life from inflicting horrible puns on people. I promise.
: Do you prefer the rooster or the chicken?
When I was young, I became m8s with a lil lamb and told my mum I never wanted to eat lamb again. She had to feed a family of five, and wasn't about to cook an extra meal for her young son who was trying to develop a very selective conscience. So, crafty ol' mammy decided she'd still cook lamb, but simply tell me every meat was chicken. Beef became 'nice chicken' and lamb became 'delicious chicken'. When all meats are chicken, how can you not love the damn thing? So yeah, chicken. Ain't got no stories about roosters. I still get teased by the fam for all those years of asking "what's this chicken?" though...
: Have you ever played a game when you were younger and cringed at it now?
ALL THE TIME. Bubsy Bobcat for one. Another would be Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II. The game was so much fun, but I thought the cut scenes were SO COOL back then. Looking back.... not so much. No regrets though. Kyle Katarn and Mara Jade may have been removed from the extended universe, but they'll live forever in my heart.
Zookie (OCE)
: What is your favourite genre for stories?
Fantasy and gothic lit are generally my bag. I love epic adventures and tragic heroes, soaring landscapes and unknown evils that lurk to the left of our understanding. How about you Zookie? Your SSS entry was such a joy to read, I'd be keen to know what influences your writing. I'm always looking to read/play/watch/listen outside my comfort zone.

: What is your go-to choice for nerf weaponry?
Can I have two? When I was living in Canada there was a massive nerf war in the park with over 100 people. People with guns and bows quickly ran out of ammo, forced to either fall back and let the melee champs go at it or run into the fray to collect and pray they wouldn't come face to face with a nerf warrior. Dual wielding a sword and axe was a highlight for sure.
: What's the best thing you've ever written?
Hey Alex! One of my favourite pieces centred around games that utilise the main character as a blank canvas, and the storytelling possibilities/constraints that come from allowing the audience to project their values onto said canvas. Another one focused on the monomyth (or 'Heroes Journey') and how games like Dark Souls are able to both align themselves and subvert the age old structure by splitting the narrative. I also wrote about a dog beer once. How about you? What's the best thing you've ever put to page?
