: I like how there are still passionate people around in the scene (yourself). Most of the people in the scene would look at this and go "tldr". I have to agree with you - I was very disappointed in the draft for the game with Supermassive, and also the first game on the second day that they played. Especially after what Sharp said in his video. I think Dire Wolves got extremely lucky the first time that they played Kabum, but on day two their weaknesses were fully exposed. The main one is what Raz was talking about in the post mortem of SUP vs PGM - vision control and rotations. Supermassive were working together as a team to get this down. The support/jungle buddy system. The baron call in the second game with Kabum was terrible. Once again the Oceanic special issue of lack of patience at that moment. You can see this issue so often in challenger soloqueue games. Probably we are the region of throws and this is the reason. It was the time to establish vision. Raz suggested to bait the baron, but i think in that case it would only secure you a blue trinket kill. Still would have been better. Plus they kept skirmishing in the enemy's vision, not theirs. Supermassive (and PGM game 2) would rotate into deep territory only when they had lane priority in the lanes near the rotation, and they would take at least two players to lay down this vision. Then they could easily work out where Shernfire was for the rest of the game. Dire Wolves' warding was scattered and often in the wrong places. The Yasuo draft game was very one dimentional, and when the opposition picked split pushers that also could win lane, it became problematic. It would have made more sense to not blind pick the Yasuo. In the PGM game, after botching a teamfight, I again noticed that one play that emphasizes the region: lack of patience. They tried to make a pick on the support near the blue buff with 3 members, and got collapsed on by 4 members... again lack of vision control to make that sort of play. The fed Leblanc came and cleaned house. The only takeaway from the event was the improvement in the play of Triple. His positioning was vastly improved from the OPL split games, and he actually was rock solid which was impressive for one of the newer players to the team. Dire Wolves cockiness improved somewhat in this event (day one noticeable). But on day two they completely fell to pieces. Seriously though, OCE is going to make these errors every year unless someone can teach them progress on these mistakes. Its not players from other regions that they should be hiring, its coaches. Dire Wolves have won the OPL because they have good players in each position and their macro improved (since 2016). But considering the competition that they are facing in the OPL, its not such a great achievement if the other regions are just so far ahead in this respect. It would be a good idea to get an experienced coach working alongside Sharp to fix these issues.
Yea I agree, it was basic macro rotations that were being done nothing special. But with the inability to respond to predict or respond to them that was the ultimate downfall. I feel they either aren't emphasizing strategy as much in their game discussions or the players revert to solo queue tendencies when faced with high-pressure situations. I am interested to know who the anchor for the team is. As Cupcake and King dont look like the type and Shern can only do so much, Chippys could be he is more focused on his lane so therefore Triple is best choice atm. And again I think Triple is being very undervalued as a player he has so much experience and talent behind him as a player and if he isn't stepping up in Comms, he really should be the anchor for the team.

: Chinese Players are Ruining the game FOr OCE!!!
One thing you have to realize although not hiding the fact this is an issue is their sheer number is what is keeping this server alive. With larger number of people moving to other games like PUBG, Rocket League, Fortnite and so on Oceanic numbers of activity are plummeting. Although not ideal if these guys are good they will out rank you over time so dont need to worry about meeting them again. And if that is the case then it would be good for the competitiveness of Oceania. Again dont condone the behaviour but partly why no action is being taken is due to it being a blessing and a curse at the same time.

So make it your mission to become the best otherwise the pro play thing that you keep asking everyone to give you a shot as well just be a distant fantasy! > > Follow these guidelines and in no time you will be part of a team! But at the end of the day it is only up to you to make yourself better! If you are not ready to accept and change the way you see things! well then all of this is a waste and you may never get what you want! Wow, another person who preaches the word of Riot's bible. Sorry but I am into science and maths. so personally, being told I am shit has absolutely no value to me so I can't be offended by it. Feel free to preach your words to others but make sure you are aware of the other possibility. https://ethicalnag.org/2009/10/26/tooth-fairy-science/ "You can get reliable data that are reproducible, consistent, and statistically significant. You think you have learned something about the Tooth Fairy. But you haven’t. Your data has another explanation, parental behaviour, that you haven’t even considered. You have deceived yourself by trying to do research on something that doesn’t exist.”
What are you on about man? You can only hold a non-biased opinion if you have taken up both paths. Whats this tooth fairy stuff have to do with anything. You are literally saying I want things to be done my way and I want to be a pro. SO the world will have to change to suit me and give me the opportunity to do so. That's the most arrogant thing I have heard anyone say. Like the methodology I just described above to you has been done and proven by many players some of which originated in bronze. A lot lower rank than you are currently are sitting at. Like if you want to be a doctor, you have to get a degree, a medical certificate and have practiced under supervision in real operations. You don't just rock up to a hospital and say I understand how the human body works, now make me a doctor so I can prove it. Same with athletes. Unless you haven't realised pro players are athletes. They practice several hours to a day to hone their muscle memory and better their decision making against other high calibre players. To simply want to play with pro - semi pro players cause you think you have a unique strategy that players of your rank cant execute is blatantly delusional. There is no special treatment to anyone! You want a spot to trial in a pro team you have to work hard to gain that role and their attention. They don't just set goals so anyone could join, only the most dedicated and determined person that won't let anything stop them can be there. And news flash, that's why they are challenger! So get your act together or don't bother doing pitty post and acting all high and mighty thinking your above everyone to get a position to trial. If anything I should get a trial in a pro team over you. I grind so many hours looking at pro play and analysing my game to improve. Heck, I was even diamond 1 two seasons ago. I still remember how hard I worked for that. SO yea back of the line buddy.

Calm your farm. The problem goes both ways, the only way to get players who have good enough mechanics and enough confidence to execute the strats I want are the diamond/master/challenger players, it is just that my account is a statistical anomaly, and that is what I am trying to make people realise so that I can either recruit players who are good enough to execute the strats, or join a team who is good enough not to just lose against everyone higher rank than them.

: But can they play OOL is the main question? Cause it understandable if they can play but won't make it to OCS via play offs. But the actual OOL split and potentially promotion matches.
Specially with the whole deal with Tainted Minds and the OCS bans alot of players got moved up from an already small talent pool/player pool.
belquin (OCE)
: The main thing that differentiates it is that OCS is semi-professional and OOL is amateur. Also just to clarify, no-one actually signs a contract with Riot, it is with the organisation they play for.

: Hey Wolves, We still have a way to go on leveling up player contracts.. Currently though, the OOL is pretty much out of the question for the foreseeable future. There is simply too much work to do on the OPL and OCS before we delve deeper than that {{summoner:3}}
Thanks for clearing that up Belquin

: Definitely will. One thing I noticed with Chiefs is that they need to be more tenacious to overcome international competitors ... this will come with more frequent scrim training and learning _Tabiya_ (Russian word for a certain situation).
Because of the recent boosted in infrastructure. Eg Houses. Equipment, Ping differential, It would definitely bring everyone onto an equal footing. However we only will be seeing the fruits of this come split too. Split one will be teams still adjusting to things however we will see a drastic improvement in level of play through the split.
