: Best NBN in NSW?
So just updating, got the TPG FTTP, gives 9 ping on wifi. **Haven't tried Ethernet yet**. 90 download/35 upload when near the modem on WiFi on speedtest.

: I am not sure what ping this would get you, but you will be very happy with NBN connection. If you want to see where the node is, it should be at the end of your street (big silver thing or box), the closer you are to this the better. And also find out which ISP is the best for you e.g TPG or Telstra etc. Either way it is NBN and currently the best thing in AUS at the moment. At the moment i get 98mps download as I am 2 steps away from the node. So I chose the 100mbps plan with TPG. I pay for everything so find out what is the best for your family but I always like to go extreme haha.

: FTTP is 10 times better than what we all have which is FTTN. NBN connection does not dictate your ping... whatever ping you had before I would subtract 15-20 and that is most likely your new ping.

: All the ISP's provide the same connection and use the same line except the government does not want to remove the copper hence the $$$. You will not get a high speed just because you are on the NBN connection. The closer you are to the NBN node, the better the connection will be. You also need to take into consideration of the fact how many people use the Internet in your family and also environmental factors. I am right next to the node so i get 98mpbs with 8 ping. Find out how close you are to the node, compare prices and find out what is the best in your area by making a few calls. Please remember the main factor is how close you are to the NBN node. Not the ISP. Hope this helps!
Ah thanks for your response. My area shows "FTTP (1000 Mbps)" (purple colour). What ping should this get me?
: lagreport.com It'll tell you the best providers for your area (for playing League). Gives em all a score based on connection quality, reliability etc
Yeah, I just tried this. Thanks for the suggestion, its pretty helpful.
