: Hey, i was wondering if there was some way i could be alerted with these tournaments. I really want to join one of these high school tournaments, but whenever i see it in the league client, it's always when it's finished or after registrations.

: Why cant every high school do it? We have like 20 people who play league at Bega high
Have you tried asking a teacher at your school to see if they'll support you?

: 5001st normal game
That is incredible! {{sticker:sg-kiko}}
: Does anyone know if there are any events like this in Northland, New Zealand? I've had small clubs with friends that get together and play at lunch times as we are a gaming club, but never been involved with any Event/Tournament, I would love to participate in something like this event in Adelaide, any one know of anything?
Have you heard of the High School League in NZ? http://letsplay.live/hsl/ They've just finished season 2 for 2017, but be sure to keep yourself updated on what they are doing for 2018.

: YOU KNOW EVERYTHING! yes! looking forward to it! i appriciate the fast responce to my original comment by you and The Hanshmear, the thing i love about Riot is how open they are to feedback and how in touch with the community they are, thank you both! {{sticker:slayer-jinx-wink}}
Thank you for the kind words :) {{sticker:sg-ahri-2}}

Oh cool! Is Ms Shores going to be running it?
: Yeah we plan to get it up and running in early 2018. Looking forward to it! {{sticker:sg-kiko}}
That's exciting! Out of curiosity, which school is this?
: was wondering if this would be on the home page.I really wanted to participate but will this happen next year? i just came as a spectator.
Nothing confirmed, but if you want to keep up-to-date with high school events and news, be sure to sign up to our mailing list at https://oce.leaguehighschool.com/ (scroll down to the bottom). Or even see if there's a teacher in your school that would support a LoL club, so that if another event comes around, your school can attend with a team prepared :)
: As someone who was there on the Friday i thought it was a overall good experience, the atmosphere was great and there was a lot of respect between all the players no matter who won their games. i have some feedback to maybe help for next year - assuming it will carry on next year which i hope it does, it was a great experience. - The headsets didn't work for our games, we got help from a staff member to try and fix them but he didn't really know how to. from what i heard none of the headsets worked on the day until right at the end when most had finished their games. maybe choosing slightly better headsets would be better in future. - Things seemed a little disorganised when it came to the Sportsmanship Workshop, at least on the Friday. most were standing around not really knowing where to go because it was quite behind schedule and some of the staff there didn't really know when it was happening. although when it finally happened it was actually quite good, the conversations i had with other players were good and they were all nice people. (maybe get your rioters familiar with League terms, the rioter doing the workshop didn't know what inting (intentional feeding) was haha!) - The computer monitors were square, something I and many others weren't used to and the game felt a little weirder because of it. everything felt a little smooshed and a bit odd, although this is a minor complaint. - The location was great and having food stalls around made it a good place to sit and talk between rounds about what could be learned from the last game and other strategies. the location was also easily accessible, if you couldn't get there by car or bus there is a train station near by making it easier for people a little further away to get there no issue. - The Riot staff were very nice and welcomed all of us. they were all friendly and did their best to help where they could if someone was having technical difficulties. the Star Guardian Lux and Freljordian Taliyah cosplayers were nice too handing out how they described 'swag League merch' also offering a group picture. I hope this feedback helps with any future events with schools you guys do, i was there on the Friday so these issues may have not been the case on the Saturday, however i wouldn't know. I'm looking forward to see if next year this will be happening again, it would be a shame to stop it everyone had a great time. despite the criticisms i really enjoyed my time and thank you for doing this for us students, don't get to really do much things we want at our schools but you gave us this opportunity and we are thankful. Thank you i hope this proves helpful! {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}}
Thanks for the feedback :) I'll pass it on to the team. Off the back of the event, have you thought about starting a LoL club with the support of a teacher?
: Legit if I become a prefect for my school, I will start the conversation with the teachers for the younger years.
Out of curiosity, what's stopping you from approaching a teacher even if you're not a prefect?
scabboy (OCE)
: Hello Littlemisscheeky. I am a high school teacher inner city Melbourne and would love to set up an ongoing tournament within my school and against other schools. I am well aware of the logistical issues you would encounter within schools. However I do believe this is a great opportunity for Riot to build their player base from grass roots and also equip young gamers with the right attitude in regards to toxicity and how it is not welcomed. I would like to partner up with Riot and with their help hold tournaments or in an ideal situation a high school based LCS type program. I am happy to communicate with you directly with this as this is the quiet time of year and would be great to plan how we could do this in 2018. I forgot to mention I have partnered with Riot in the past to host high school based tournaments at a previous school with great success
Hi scabboy, thanks for reaching out! The logistical issues you mention are not new to us, and we've managed to help a few schools in Victoria in this regard already :) We are happy to start the conversation and work together with you. With the support of teachers like yourself, we hope to drive the program forward and unlock this opportunity for more students across Australia, New Zealand, and eventually the world. I've just added you as a friend in-game, where we can exchange contacts. Alternatively, DM at https://twitter.com/irene247

Hi Aqualize, Can you check your email, as we're trying to organise the shipment of your prize :)
: Will I have the opportunity to attend one of these events again in SA? I was unable to attend this one, being in hospital during it :(

: i think this is really cool and I would love to do this
Have you tried reaching out to a teacher at your school to see what they think? What would they think of this article and initiative? We can help start the conversation :)
: Are these kind of events anywhere in Sydney or Queensland?
The Powerhouse Museum (in Sydney) is running a League of Legends learning day https://maas.museum/program/league-of-legends-learning-hub/ Unfortunately they have just closed registrations. : Do you know what you would need to start a club, because I asked a teacher and they said they would probably try next year, but they didn't know what making one would entail ----- Thanks :)
Share the League High School website with them https://oce.leaguehighschool.com/about/what-are-lol-clubs/ Even if the teacher is looking at starting a club next year, we can start the conversation with them to help with setting it up at their school :)
noobster (OCE)
: what rank are they all? it would be more of a fair chance if each team had similar mmr or ranks to balance out the matches or else it'd be a fiesta and end in 15 mins ff. if only my school wanted this xd.
Have you tried reaching out to a teacher? :) The answer is always no if you never ask.
: > [{quoted}](name=littlemisscheeky,realm=OCE,application-id=hIjvqaz6,discussion-id=REwdhhXE,comment-id=00010000,timestamp=2017-10-24T05:48:47.719+0000) > > 1st place gets the G903 gaming mouse, 2nd place gets the G703 ;) OOPs, I actually just read past the '9' and the '7' xd... WIll you be having more contests in the future similar to this one? Maybe Riot should promote team based contests :D
We've had a number of contests this year. I recommend you regularly check the [Player Creations](https://boards.oce.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-creations) boards for any future contests :) And follow our [Twitter](https://twitter.com/LOL_Oceania) too.
: Are we gonna get to see the shoutcasted replays here?
They will be sent their video individually, but we've just made a compilation of all the winners with the shoutcasting above. Check the original post.
: How is the Bard Escape one a "Not-So-Pro Play"? It was actually a good play distracting the enemy and leading them to their deaths.
It is the category LAKIGR chose to enter, so they are the best person to answer your question :) Personally I'd classify it as a "Not So Pro Play" because the play was more fun than pro.
: Wait a sec, why does 1st and 2nd get the same prize? Anyways, nice work to those who won!!! I really like that bard play thought it was pre funny :) I hope Riot makes more of these contests !!{{sticker:sg-kiko}}
1st place gets the G903 gaming mouse, 2nd place gets the G703 ;)

: if i submit another entry in the same category, does it replace the one i already sent
No. It will disqualify you because it goes against the contest rules, "You can only enter each category once (Pro Plays & Not So Pro Plays)". If we didn't do this, it would open up all players to submit an unlimited number of entries since it would just be "replaced".
: can i compile multiple similar plays from the same game?
No, this would involve using a video editor to compile the plays, which goes against the contest rules.
Oriphix (OCE)
: What if you play royalty free music can you submit the game play from that? Or do you only want the game music?
We want to see your gameplay in its purest form, therefore just gameplay music.
Edo (OCE)
: Uhm so i changed my name recently can i still enter?
If your replay makes the judging shortlist, we will be verifying your account's summoner name history to ensure that it is your gameplay.
: Ok, thank you! I managed to get it on YouTube though :) Did you receive my submission? I'm not sure if there's anyway I can check if it's gone through. {{champion:99}}
When you submitted your entry, you should have seen a message in the refreshed page saying we received it.. Can also confirm we received your entry :)
: So I cant add any audio but I can remove the original audio? Also, how does this work with streams that only have music playing with no game sounds? Do we still remove the audio if it was a part of stream?
No "out of game" music playing. We don't want Gragas, Esq. writing us any cease and desist letters!
Odi (OCE)
: Hey rito, I disabled the in-game volume for my replay, except for the announcer and ping sounds (because I like to listen to music in the background), but I forgot to turn them back on when recording the replay. Is this gonna make my submission invalid?
: Question: The replay I downloaded has terrible audio (weird noises). I wish to replace the audio to something which is reasonable. The guidelines do not allow any edit of the video. Can I edit the audio?
You have the option of removing the audio, but your gameplay will be at a disadvantage.
Shashe (OCE)
: Every time I try to save the replay in the client, it crashes. Am I allowed to record the replay using a third-party programs like OBS?
As long as you're meeting the contest rules, that is fine.
Arashi (OCE)
: It meets all the requirements but isn't on youtube.
As long as it's uploaded online where we can easily access it (public), that is fine. But it's recommended that you upload to YouTube.
Lysaaer (OCE)
: sorry for the spam did you get this submission?
: Can we post multiple clips? For example two 'Pro plays' clips or one 'Pro plays' and one 'Not so pro play'
As per the contest rules, "You can only enter each category once (Pro Plays & Not So Pro Plays)".
: Hello, if we are unable to upload a file from YouTube, is there another way to send a Replay in? And if so, how?
You can choose another video sharing platform/website. But YouTube is recommended.
Jerey (OCE)
: What if the footage is taken from my stream? Does it HAVE TO be in replay format? If my own live commentary is in there will it be okay? (Taken from stream)
As long as it meets the contest rules, then it will be counted as a valid entry. So if it's taken from your stream, does it meet this rule, "Your entry can't include any logos, advertisements, product names, or product placements; we don't want Gragas, Esq. writing us any cease and desist letters!"? If you have live commentary with it, that is ok, but note that it could leave your entry at a disadvantage if it distracts from the gameplay itself. Just as not having gameplay sound would leave an entry at a disadvantage. It is up to you. Note that it is only one entry per category. So make it count!
niss2 (OCE)
: What if the account in the clip is now banned?
agent1322 (OCE)
: i have the same issue as my replay has been edited in slow motion from the league replay system will i need to re-edit that sequence in the video at normal speed?
We want to see your gameplay in its purest form. No slow motion etc.
Zorro (OCE)
: I still made the play but the enemy just did something a bit dumb. So I was just wondering if it'd go under pro plays or not so pro plays.{{sticker:galio-happy}}
I think it's best to just ask your friends which category they think it fits in, and go with that :)
Lysaaer (OCE)
: My Pro Play :) is it worthy of a Submission https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwBhOCHNJzA
: Would you be able to check if you got my replay? Thanks
: I edit the end of the video with slow motion but the start runs throught the play normal would it count. Its just not as funny in normal play. https://youtu.be/TFpmO4ChpL0
We want to see your gameplay in its purest form. Therefore any edits will be considered an invalid entry.
Botato (OCE)
: What if we recently had our summoner name changed and the replay shows a former summoner name of mine?
If your replay makes the judging shortlist, we will be verifying your account's summoner name history to ensure that it is your gameplay.
Arashi (OCE)
: Can i upload my playsTV for submission? Cause I can't access replay files anymore :(
: I just had a quick question about the replay. I've got a replay that I want to submit but in the recording I skip a bit of the video to show what I've wanted to show. I don't have the original replay anymore so I can't rerecord the play. Should i leave the video as a whole or cut it out?
I'm not sure if I understand. You say you skipped a bit, and that you don't have the original. But then you ask if you should leave the whole video or cut it out :? I'm confused. The first part says you don't have the original, while the second part sounds like you do? {{sticker:sg-janna}}
: I have several tasty treats, but out of respect for my fellow summoners I turn off names... also like in Fincher's Facebook movie... when the Napster guy tells Zucks that losing the "The" is cleaner... I also find playing without names much cleaner... BUT because the ones I think are worthy are from last season... I wont be able to do the whole Summoner Name thingy... What should I do... as video editing my summoner name onto my play appears to be out of the question. {{sticker:sg-janna}}
For this contest, you will need to clearly have your Summoner Name displayed. You have 3 weeks to make a Pro or Not so pro play for this contest. I believe in you! {{sticker:slayer-jinx-catface}}
