: Nothing is wrong with it, but not everybody plays for that reason.
And that's fine but that's not an excuse for people to troll/feed or not take the game seriously in ranked as most people do
: Because you posted it in the OP.
Ok let me change the question cause you made it sound like you had access to all my chat logs. What is an emissarie? ( The thing that you are if that's still to tough for you to figure out )
: Yaia's and DTN's responses below do a good job of explaining why YOU were punished. As for your brother I have no indication of his behaviour. i don't have any of his chat logs or his reports so I wouldn't know. We are evaluating your behaviour and not his because we have something to evaluate yours with, namely your chat log. If your brother is demonstrating negative behaviour and is being reported for it then he will be punished.
I'm sorry but who are you? Your not a Rioter so how do you have accesses to something like that
: What he says is not the case. Yes, the system is automated, and always has been on OCE, but it does consider context, and incredibly rarely falsely punishes. You can find where I fully addressed all of his concerns [HERE](http://boards.oce.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behaviour/hBmE5tZ9-warning-about-new-automated-punishments-system?comment=0000). tl;dr The system does not punish on keywords. The system does not punish for single lines of text. And the system very VERY rarely punishes for first time offences.
If what you say is true I have even less is a reason to trust this useless system as my brother, who has yet to have a single chat restriction and has done everything under the sun besides given out death threats has yet to be punished and yet I'm getting punished for saying stuff like "omg wtf why did you ducking try to 1v5" to the poppy that is 0/13 and we had full vision of the enemy team. And before you say something stupid like "we're judging your behaviour not his" this is nothing more then a point not an excuse
: You won't get punished if you don't do anything wrong. Multiple reports (not from premades) may get a match looked at, but it doesn't influence punishment. Punishment is calculated per match, not per report. Please cite the source for your claim that a player was banned for chat offenses when he didn't say anything. I await your reply.
You do realise that the whole system is automatic right? As for that claim, can't really it's long gone by now, just something I remember reading
: Actually, you should probably read up on the law because there's HEAPS of laws about self-defence and what you can and can't do. If you cause grievous bodily harm to someone invading your property you can actually go to gaol for a lot longer than your assailant. In many cases of self-defence, you cannot 'attack back'. You must use the minimal amount of force you can to get away, run for it, and report the crime later. The police themselves are taught to use "reasonable force", which is the minimum amount of force they can use to solve a problem. De-escalation of conflict is the biggest priority. In this case, the minimum amount of force you can use to solve the problem of toxic players is to mute them and report if their behaviour has been bad enough to warrant that. By the spirit of the law, that is the appropriate method of resolution. If they find a way to harass you once you've already muted them, that's the time to take further action by contacting Riot further. Also, since the space of Summoner's Rift exists as a temporary public cyber space rather than a physical space within your own home, you are not defending property, so that comparison is really inaccurate. The law when it comes to defending oneself against slander, on a more relevant point, does not permit the use of slander in return. If you were to take someone to court for it, you'd lose out pretty quickly if they found out you'd used the same tactics. If you have a problem with impulse control, honestly it's not Riot's problem to hold your hand through it and baby you through the consequences of your own actions--perhaps you should look into anger management tactics, particularly if your anger causes problems outside of the game. You are a conscious, self-aware human being and you are capable of self-control. If you are old enough to comment and debate on forums , you are old enough to take responsibility for your own words.
Already know about the whole reasonable force thing and this comparison is much more getting then the original on that someone tried to use which was they robbed me, so I robbed them. Actually it is Riots problem, as it there game and if the solution to say, solve all toxicity in the game was to make a button that self muted people who couldn't control their impulse why would they not. It's at most 3-10 lines of code, cause most of the code they need is already in game. At most they need to do is something like "If box is ticked, then chat restrictions apply" Add a little more code so that actual punishments can't be turned off and there you go. A simple solution for people who can't control there impulse. My anger dosent as its something that comes from the game, not real life. And I'm just going to ignore that last little paragraph cause it just shows how little you understand about humans
: Yaia already mentioned the punishment tiers. You weren't permabanned for one game, this was in the making for a long time, and you refused to change your behavior through several punishments. If you are wondering why the chat presented was reportable, she also highlighted that for you. Almost everything you said was harassing your team or being negative. > the new system that Riot implemented supports people that play more with friends How so? If you are suggesting that premade mass reporting got you punished, and they won't be because you are only 1 report, the system does not work like that. Your report is roughly as effective as a full premade. It doesn't matter if one of them reported you, the result would've been the same. https://ask.fm/RiotLyte/answers/133766694594
So your going to tell me that 1 person voting against 9 is going to have the same weight? That's good for a laugh. I remember awhile a go a guy posted on here that he got his friend banned by convincing the enemy team that he was toxic even though he never said a thing. Just cause Eiot said something, does not mean they will follow threw on them.

I never made the assumption, I just stated the most likely reason as to why that would be the case (based on the way you have acted). > if you knew me in real life you would find out I actually have a every good grip on my emotions. So, you abuse other players as a choice and *not* because you "have no control over your impulses" (which I would like to point out is the excuse you gave in response to one of my other comments)? > Now for the second point. Can you give me a clear definition of what "neccassary force" is, cause unfortunity for you it changes based in the case and the people included. Indeed it does, because what is necessary changes based on the circumstances. As a general rule of thumb, neccessary force is the minimum required to stop the undesired actions from continuing. > That's unfortunite for you cause that is what Riot should be doing. Looking at each game and seeing what's happening, not relying on an automated system like they are at the moment. The situation is pretty easy to understand. Someone else stated being toxic and you joined them, therefore you both deserve to be punished. > Also a little of topic but are you telling me you have complete control over your emotions? cause if you have every felt anger or rage at something then your whole argument is kinda worthless I have control over my emotions, enough to prevent myself from acting in a "toxic" manner simply because someone else is being annoying. I wouldn't say I have complete control over my emotions (and I'd say that no one else does either) but that is not the point I was making. One of the differences between you and me is that I accept when I am at fault, rather than simply trying to shift the blame to someone else using the childish excuse of "they started it".
Yea, that's what is called an assumption, something you assume based off the avaliable information. Again, another assumption that I just "abuse other because I want to". Like I said before if you knew me in real life you would fine that I have a pretty good grip on my emotions but like most people I do have times when that control slips and for me that is when I'm doing something competitive with a ranking system as I like to win and hate to lose, not cause the opponent was better then my team but because someone decided not to play the game correctly. I also don't remember shifting the blame, I even said in the original post that I was toxic, I only said I didn't deserve a perma-ban.

Really? That's so stupid. Anything that has to do with human interaction should be handled by humans, not A.I.
HeartVine (OCE)
: Those are two completely different situations. In one, an individual (being you, in this case) is responding to verbal abuse with more verbal abuse, which does nothing whatsoever to improve the situation (it actually makes it far worse). It comes down to the fact that you lack any kind of self control over your emotions, likely because you're just too lazy to even try. In the other, an individual is protecting themselves from physical harm and only using as much force as is necessary to do so. It's a matter of preserving one's life, not their ego.
Oh dear, word pf advice, try not to make baseless assumptions when you know nothing about the person. You said that I have little control of my emotions for the pure reason that I'm lazy, and yet if you knew me in real life you would find out I actually have a every good grip on my emotions. So when making an augment try to avoid things you can't prove. Now for the second point. Can you give me a clear definition of what "neccassary force" is, cause unfortunity for you it changes based in the case and the people included. That's unfortunite for you cause that is what Riot should be doing. Looking at each game and seeing what's happening, not relying on an automated system like they are at the moment. Also a little of topic but are you telling me you have complete control over your emotions? cause if you have every felt anger or rage at something then your whole argument is kinda worthless

You say that as if it actually matters. News flash: it doesn't matter. Toxic is toxic, regardless of so-called "reasons".
Then let's put that agains something else shall we and still see if you agree. If I rob you on the street and you start to fight back then you should be charged with assault because it doesn't matter what I do to you, your actions are still yours. Can you see how stupid that sounds?
: suck shi t, toxic troll, go play dota! then again you can just create a new account and be toxic again lol! Riot DON'T GIVE A SHIT!
Your making quite a few assumptions here. I've never trolled a single game, I've never played Dota and toxic I may be but I've for the most part I've the kind of person that responds to it, the the one that initiates it. Also if your going to do something don't be a hypocrite about it, cause the way you are talking to me right now would also make you toxic by Riots standard
Ripcord24 (OCE)
: To put it into simpler terms: just because someone else does something against the "law", doesn't mean you should be allowed to as well. Ever heard of the term "mute and move on"? Well you should start doing that, who the hell cares what some random player says about you.
So if the law states I can't hit anyone then some guy starts to attack me I should just take it and later report it to the police. I don't care what some random says about me but do you have any idea what " heat of the moment is"? If I'm being abused in the middle of a ranked game cause I'm apparently not doing my job as a jungler (which apparently is to never farm and just gank) then odd are I'm going to reply cause I'm this thing called a "human and amazingly humans have these things called "feelings" and "impulses". Just cause some people can not reply dosent mean everyone can leave well enough alone. Hell I've seen people ask for a way to self mute, I'm one of them asking for it cause not everyone can control there impulse. However Riot refuses to do something like it cause they believe it takes away from the communication
HeartVine (OCE)
: There was no reason to bring that topic up in that manner other than to imply a hidden meaning to my statement. This isn't the first time I've dealt with people like you, nor will it be the last. I have enough experience to know how these things work.
I think you've done to many drugs mate. I never said or implied that there was a hidden meaning in your words. What is implied by my words are that I have no idea what you are talking about and you need to explain better then what you did give me
Synct (OCE)
: I just love the way these kids throw Riots 'toxic' buzzword. You should try the ACCC now if you're Australian and have ever bought skins etc for the account.
Well the thing is, is that they have to cause Riot has only ever defined being toxic as "having a negative impact on someone else in the game" which is such a broad statement for what toxicity is that it comes worthless
Synct (OCE)
: LOL to get banned over this on OCE is hilarious. And all this rubbish below from HeartVine is hilarious too. By his theory, nearly everyone on OCE should be banned.
Look at Princess Yaia's. Since gereral negative ( giving up on a game) is being toxic I guess everyone that has hit the surrender button should be banned for "giving up"

I'm sorry but what? Again I made no allusion to a hidden meaning.
: When hell freezes over Riot will admit they have ruined this game.
Lol no they won't, they will still say it's the best thing ever
HeartVine (OCE)
: Don't make assumptions about "hidden meanings" where there are none, it just makes you look like a d!ck. Do you deserve a ban for being toxic? Yes, you do. Is it OK that other people were being toxic to you? No. Does that give you the right to be toxic right back? Certainly f\*cking not! If you feel so bad after being abused by your team mates, I would think you *wouldn't* want to inflict that on any other person. The fact that you know how it feels to be on the receiving end and, despite that, doll out the same cr\*p to others just shows that you most certainly ***DO*** deserve the punishment you got because, quite simply, you're being a d!ck.
Which hidden meaning did I talk about? I don't remember saying anything about a hidden meaning
Ripcord24 (OCE)
: If your house gets robbed does it make ok to rob other people's houses? No. Just mute and move on, don't talk back to them and let them drag you to their level.
But if someone robs my house and I attack back in defence then I'm also in the wrong right. The problem with Riot and idiots like you is that you only ever look at the result and not the full picture, thus missing important information
: Yes, you should definitely ignore them. Joining in will not improve the situation, but most likely will escalate it. The Mute function stops it immediately, and there's no good reason to not use it since you can rely on pings for communication. I find it baffling that you think they wouldn't get punished for that, when your own punishment shows that kind of behavior is definitely punished. Extreme behavior such as hate speech and death threats may result in skipping punishment tiers, so most likely they are very close to or already have a ban for their behavior. Regardless of what they did or what their punishment might be, it does not justify your own actions. Each player will be judged for their own behavior and no one else's.
LOL no i got punished cause the new system that Riot implemented supports people that play more with friends, not because Riot knows how to make a functioning system, cause for them to made a decent system Riot would have to admit to making mistakes and we all know where Riot stands on saying they did something wrong

It also takes approx 3 months for your account to get back into good standing per tier (e.g, if you got 14 day suspension, it will take 9 months of A+ behaviour to have a clean slate again). Well I don't know what exactly counts as "extremely toxic" behaviour, you are a pretty big toxin in this game. A couple of things you did wrong at a glance: * Calling people idiots * Calling someone a toxic child that can't play (targeted abuse) * General negative behaviour (giving up) * blaming others I mean, I wasn't in the game and there is a chance that they were also being rather toxic towards you, but you should never meet toxicity with more toxicity.
Ah yes let me just ignore the 2 premades that are calling me a %%%% and tell me i have down syndrome and at the end of the game ill pray to what ever god exist cause we both know Riot wont punish them
HeartVine (OCE)
: You didn't get a perma-ban for just one game, you got a perma-ban for repeated toxic behaviour. That's just the game that triggered the perma. And honestly, those chat logs do ***NOT*** look promising (as in, at all) for your case. Seems like you most certainly deserved what you got.
Just like i deserve to be called a %%%% and told i have Down syndrome cause thats the shit i was dealing with all game. Constant flaming and being told how useless/ how I do nothing despite ganking bot repetitively, ok understood.
