: Good tips for a fairly new adc main?
I am not good and I do not claim to be good, anyone is welcome to correct me on anything or try and educate(and discuss with) me on the game but these are some of the things I have picked up by playing and being around the league scene for a while and these things don't scratch the surface of what league truly is I'm sure. Whatever role, whatever champion, the right way to play the game is accordingly to the information you have. Click more and faster, practice this until you are super quick and accurate. Start being more aware of everything, know where the opponents and allies are at all times. Start thinking about every move you make, such as; small movements in lane, where you should be on the map and how to position in any sort of fight. Start learning what you, your allies and your opponents champions can do. - This isn't just what champions kits do but ties in with positioning; knowing where you should be relative to their champion and knowing if they use an ability that there is an opportunity to get a winning trade. This also ties in with clicking more and faster with being able to predict and dodge skill shots and CC without slowing your combo and autos down more than they need to be. Play accordingly to all of this. When you hear the terms 'passive' and 'aggressive' thrown around in league the player most likely has no idea how to play. If you teeter on the edge of a fight dodging everything that comes your way, kiting back if you need to and going forward if there is opportunity whilst non stop doing damage you will be up and far away from bronze and these exact skills translate to lane with the added skill of not missing CS. If you know where to go on the map, when to group, knowing when to push your lane in or hang back a little by knowing where the opponents are or their general vicinity you will climb even higher. Essentially, read between the lines and work on your finesse. It won't change overnight. The most progress to be made is at the lowest level and it will only get harder. Put in the effort and you will be rewarded. Sadly I don't have a tip for the crazy amount of people who instantly give up or start half assing the game just because they fell behind or one insignificant thing didn't go to plan due to the fact most humans are lemmings and will follow suit or they're too stubborn, but sometimes they are carryable. Just mute if they're negative, most players have such a warped sense of pride on this game, on our server, even if you're challenger you are still probably not worth the concern of the top players and teams in the world and if you're under that you are more than likely not worth the concern of anyone in regards to this game.
: I agree, being a teemo I can relate. I started laning really late because I had dced with bad internet and I had no TP. I got the most kills in that game and carried my team from 10 deaths down and 2 dragons down. It's just the unbalanced champions.
That's much broader and probably just comes down to a bunch of mistakes over a long term by your opponents

Nah, just the range. It doesn't look like it should land, from where Annie is in regards to Lucian and then Tibbers to Lucian as well. (Very long instant stun range and the hit box being way bigger than the Tibbers avatar) Not a serious complaint, but maybe I want Riot to resize Tibbers and lower the range a little if the hit box is that big. To back up my comment of it not being a serious complaint, to show Annie isn't game breaking or overpowered and to subtly brag (hehe), this game was a win where I did the most damage to champions, had a 10 KDA and the most CS.

If you cannot deal with it on a bunch of pixels then how on earth are you going to survive the real world. Everyone can complain how toxic OCE is but most of the time it's just a bunch of people putting on an act to get amusement out of people like you. Don't take the game to seriously because if you do, that's when it bites you back. _**They stop trying. They blame and harass. They AFK or leave. They stop playing properly.**_ As to this again there is nothing you can do about it sadly to say. If you feel that you need to "take justice" about some kid that getting amusement from you, then you just click report, write and message and done. Look just play the game and enjoy it while you can. As to the post I really don'y know how you could find the time to write 1485 words (counted on MS word).** If you're going to put that much effort to fix a video game why dont you put that much effort in a school assignment.** I'm only here to give you some advice, I just don't see a point in trying to change people.

My mindset is that is it even worth it to roam, usually roaming early like that means missing cs and often not getting kills out of it as well as tower damage and losing the tier 1 tower makes a big impact on what part of the map is and can be controlled. The way I usually win my lane is taking advantage of situations like the enemy roaming or their jungler showing and pushing it hard when they do to make them miss that cs & xp and getting the tower damage or end up in a winning fight, ofc taking the match up into account, doing this leaves me stronger than them and them less safe leading to solo kills (sometimes solo kills happen before when they make mistakes or don't know the match up well or aren't aware of our jungler and is playing too far up which leads to snowballing as I can then deny them the cs or kill them and they're then in the same situation I am tackling here - how do you win games where the other team get really early leads) After things go like this I will usually pressure lanes to free up the rest of the map and then back off accordingly and these things tend to lead to outrotations or favoured fights (this sort of thing also depends on my role/champion, I tend to have a 60%+ kill participation assuming things are going fine, if they're going really well this can drop as I can just push one lane, kill whoever comes solo and take a tower while my team destroy them in a 4v4, 4v5 or 3v4) by this stage (10-20 minutes, depending on the game) the game has been decided and even if I stay grouped or split push it's futile verse people who have an item or two advantage on you, especially when people default to being scared to making any sort of play on someone out of position when they're behind. Be it win or lose, many games are decided early like this and I want to know how to lower losses that are like this. Basically; is playing super risky really a higher win % than playing smart? If so, solo q really does not capture this game correctly.
: CS is worth plenty, being farmed up while your team is losing means nothing though. Your playing for yourself and not for your team or the win.

I'll duo norms... norms are for fun/learning so you shouldn't hate someone if someone is doing badly or anything. Just a warning though - I'll probably be playing random stuff and going for a 100% fun factor. You also learn in ranked, we really need normal draft back.

: Warmogs niche is for the passive, which gives insane health regeneration allowing to to come back from low health without being forced to back. It only has a couple hundred health over most of the other high health items. Thornmails niche, as said before, is for countering high damage squishy ad auto attack champions, usually those building crit. Something fun to remember with thornmails, is that 30% is calculated BEFORE your armour reducing the damage, as well as any other fun little damage reduction, so stack 300 plus armour and laughing as their puny attacks kill themselves can be fun. So the math isn't the point on these items, as they are largely situational. If you are getting pokey down under yur tower and want some serious staying power to stay alive, build warmogs. If you have an auto attacking crit champion 2 hitting you before you can hit him very hard, get thornmail. Randuins is a popular item because it gives a bit of both, with high health and armour, but also giving you an attack speed SLOW which will reduce their output more than the armour or health from wither warmogs of thornmail would give. try googling some of the theory crafting behind this as there are some very smart people (some even work at riot) who have crunched all these numbers before. Most of the things that penetrate armour are flat reductions, such as the popular riven item of the brutalizer, which takes a flat chunk from your armour (in the riven case, lets say he has brutalizer and flat armour pen marks, totally roughly to 20 flat armour pen) if you have armour of 30, it would ignore the first 20 leaving you with 10 armour. Last whisper, the armour penetration masteries, caits new/soon to be new passive work by taking a percentage of your armour away before during damage. So if you have 200 armour, and they have last whisper (35%), 200 - (200 x 0.35) = 130 Compared to a Youmuus ghostblade (20 flat penetration) 200 - 20 = 180 Both items 200 - (200 x 0.35) - 20 = 110 (as % armor pen now calculated before flat pen) /end rant wow that went longer than I was expecting. Hope it helped I'm meaning those two items after you have built other ad/health items vs full ad teams, not just vs an adc or one bruiser in a lane. In truth ADC's aren't a problem at all as usually all they will get is a LW, it's those bruiser teams who stack these items and can one shot tanks who have 400 armour and 4000 health - the point being engaging as a tank is useless as you will just die. It makes me wonder if trading off 100 armour for 800 health is better. From your math use and what you said it seems like armour pen items are a lot more cost efficient than thornmail in this situation still, which proves my point - A flat ad item is worse off than a health item vs ad teams.

: Honestly stacking armor is now extremely inefficent with BC being an item in most games and LW being a core on ADC's (your looking at losing around about 45-60% of your armor from this.) And this is why the tank meta is starting to die off more or less, because Armor pen is just so abundant. But yeah with 300 Armor, your looking at about 100-150 actual armor.
How to counter tank meta -> full ad team =D

Works well in dota where if there's an afk/dc after 5 minutes that the game isn't recorded and people are free to leave. Never seen a single person abuse it.
